Golly Gee, How Do We Punish South Carolina (for being so Republican)?

It is probably a good thing that Barack Obama is from Chicago.  He’s Chicago, through and through.  Take his desire to close Guantanamo Bay.  According to the Palmetto Scoop, the messiah-elect is planning to close Guantanamo Bay and ship all those lovely little terrorists to Charleston, South Carolina.

It’s just like the Godfather.  Make SC an offer it can’t refuse.  I gather the state is to either throw the GOP overboard or end up with the horse’s head at the Charleston Brig.

Make Him An Offer He Can\’t Refuse

It’s all about the fact that South Carolina is probably the most Republican state in the country.  It’s about punishing the reputation of Lindsey Graham.  It’s about making Mark Sanford, now the head of the GOP governors look bad.  It is about ruining the chances of Kanton Dawson to become RNC Chair.

“…Rep. Henry Brown, a Hanahan Republican whose 1st Congressional District includes the Consolidated Naval Brig, introduced a bill Wednesday that would block the use of federal funds to move Guantanamo detainees to Charleston.

“Bringing these extremely dangerous war criminals, deemed too high of a threat to be sent home, would add an unnecessary terrorist threat to our community,” Brown said.

Sen. Lindsey Graham, a Seneca Republican who played a leading role in establishing military tribunals at Guantanamo, also opposes holding any or all of its 262 remaining detainees in the Charleston brig.

“It doesn’t make sense to hold them in an urban center like Charleston,” Graham said. “We should recognize that where they are detained will automatically become a terrorist target.” …”

Can you imagine putting 262 hardened terrorist detainees so close to a metropolitan population?  That isn’t the worst of it.  If any of those 262 were to escape Charleston is like a transportation cross-roads.  They can end up anywhere in the country, or out of it.

I don’t know about you but it rather makes me wonder just what the messiah-elect is thinking. Or is he thinking?  If so, why do you put the safety of millions of Americans at risk just to look good for the world.  Oh, I forgot he’s a Democrat and he’s just going to screw South Carolina. That makes complete sense, right?
