EVIL RUNS AMUCK
Friday the Pink Flamingo began a commentary on the problems our society is facing with the morality of political correctness. Because we must constantly look for the good and the perfection in all cultures, we are not allowed to point out their evils. Thanksgiving Day 2008 put some of the worst attributes of our culture on display.
I don’t know which was worst, the shooting at the Toys R Us in the LA area, or what happened on Long Island. Both are indicative of the growing debasement of our society.
Why?
I’m wondering if we have two things at work here, one helping the other. Maybe there are three things or so.
First we are dealing with the degradation and coarsening of our society to the point where it has become dark, gloomy, and almost evil. This may sound a bit strange, but I date our darkening of society into the rhelm of the perverse and evil with the premier of Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas. I remember saying when it came out, that there was something amiss. There is a grotesqueness that has been unleashed in our society. Yes, I know the movie was simply “art”. That is not my complaint. I don’t disapprove of the movie. I only disapprove of the trend toward darkness.
I take it back. I think it all began in 1989 with the release of the first of the modern Batman film, this one also being directed by Tim Burton. I think that is when the darkening cultural forces were released. I do not know Burton’s religious affiliation. I cannot find anything, which in a way confirms my speculations that the man believes very little.
Do not misconstrue this as a critique on Burton. Fact is, I find his films to be vile and disgusting. I rarely, if ever even watch them on television, let alone shell out money to see one in the movies. It’s like that monstrosity of a piece of dung masquerading as Pride and Prejudice. It had nothing to do with Pride and Prejudice that …
There is a point here. I promise.
An element of our society is taking a turn toward darkness, the grotesque, and death. Something has happened to us. It is as though the beauty, light, and purity of the world is being squeezed out of us, and all that will be left are pathetic, cruel images of murder and mayhem from video games where the characters do nothing but destroy and kill. It is like the grotesque monster Heath Ledger’s “Joker” became, so vile, I don’t see how anyone could even look at it.
I go back to simpler times. I am a Christian. It is my ultimate world view. I go back to Philippians 4:
4 Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice. 5
Let your gentleness be known to everyone. The Lord is near.
6Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
7And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
8 Finally, beloved,
whatever is true,
whatever is honourable,
whatever is just,
whatever is pure,
whatever is pleasing,
whatever is commendable,
if there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.

It is all rather simple, actually. The real problem is the fact that we Christians are no longer allowed to say what we think. If we do we are considered racist, bigoted, or against multiculturalism. I am not a bigot. I am not racist. I don’t give a rip about multiculturalism. All I know is my faith is under attack. One of these days we’re going to be faced with the same problems here in the US as they are in Canada. I have problems when The One (elect) puts an advisor on his team who has ties to Hindu extremists in India who are responsible for murdering dozens of Christians these past few months.
In the UK, Islamic taxi drivers are raping British girls. Unfortunately if anyone complains, they are called racist. (What happened to the era when London taxi drivers prided themselves on being among the best in the world? But – you can’t complain about Islamic extremists in the UK. It just isn’t done. When are authorities and the thought police going to realize that these people have become so twisted by hate that they will stop at nothing to kill and destroy anyone and anything that differs from them?
When are the thought police going to admit that people who have the mindset to destroy anyone and anything that differs from them is seriously disturbed? If we were talking white, Christian male that’s all we would be hearing – how disturbed “he” was. But – let that person be Islamic, and they’re wonderful!
When Christianity is assaulted, when the gentle and beautiful things of life are no longer acceptable, when the images of darkness reign, can we expect anything any different? The vicious rampage at the Long Island Walmart on Friday was only the beginning.
Let’s be honest here. Why on earth would a throng of people slam into a person, and keep pounding over them when they saw them laying on the floor? Or, is it the fault of the business where the incident occurred?
We have learned that the cops are trying to identify the people who trampled Jdimytai Damour to death. They say criminal charges are “possible”.
Possible?
They ought to be hunted, arrested, and charged with man-slaughter.
“…Police said about 2,000 people were gathered outside the Wal-Mart doors before its 5 a.m. opening at a mall about 20 miles east of Manhattan. The impatient crowd knocked the employee, identified by police as Jdimytai Damour, to the ground as he opened the doors, leaving a metal portion of the frame crumpled like an accordion. “This crowd was out of control,” Fleming said. He described the scene as “utter chaos,” and said the store didn’t have enough security. Dozens of store employees trying to fight their way out to help Damour were also getting trampled by the crowd, Fleming said. Shoppers stepped over the man on the ground and streamed into the store. Damour, 34, of Queens, was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead around 6 a.m., police said. The exact cause of death has not been determined. A 28-year-old pregnant woman was taken to a hospital, where she and the baby were reported to be OK, said police Sgt. Anthony Repalone.
Kimberly Cribbs, who witnessed the stampede, said shoppers were acting like “savages.”
“When they were saying they had to leave, that an employee got killed, people were yelling ‘I’ve been on line since yesterday morning,’” she said. “They kept shopping.”…”
When people behave this way, they have lost all sense of humanity.
Why?
Where does the breakdown of our Christian society come into play here?
Then, what about the assault in Mambai this week, when Americans, Brits, and Jews were singled out to be murdered. This was planned. It was an assault on Christianity. It was an assault on the Jewish religion. It was an assault on civilization.
When murderous monsters kill a 13 year old girl, how do you consider them “human’‘?
“…Asked what was different about the victims of the incident, another doctor said: “It was very strange. I have seen so many dead bodies in my life, and was yet traumatised. A bomb blast victim’s body might have been torn apart and could be a very disturbing sight. But the bodies of the victims in this attack bore such signs about the kind of violence of urban warfare that I am still unable to put my thoughts to words,” he said.
Asked specifically if he was talking of torture marks, he said: “It was apparent that most of the dead were tortured. What shocked me were the telltale signs showing clearly how the hostages were executed in cold blood,” one doctor said.
The other doctor, who had also conducted the post-mortem of the victims, said: “Of all the bodies, the Israeli victims bore the maximum torture marks. It was clear that they were killed on the 26th itself. It was obvious that they were tied up and tortured before they were killed. It was so bad that I do not want to go over the details even in my head again,” he said….”
When do you start calling their behavior what it is?
When can we start saying this is a war against civilization? Is that to politically incorrect?
