CONNECTIONS: PART III: The Connection

THE DEATH OF THE CIVILIZED WORLD

An article in the New York Times cautions us that dog fighting has moved from Louisiana into Texas.  What isn’t mentioned is the fact that there could very well be a connection that goes back to the exodus from Louisiana of a culture that facilitates such barbarism. What also isn’t mention is the perversion of the Hip Hop (did I get that right) Culture that glorifies violence, cruelty, and the degradation of women.  Why wouldn’t such a culture brutalize innocent animals?

In the aftermath of the overwhelming rejection of Proposition 8 in California, the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints is being subjected to ridicule and out and out hatred, by an “oppressed” minority.  Christians are being assaulted.  Crosses are being reviled.

Why?

Oh, Christians are intolerance of the most tolerant and loving of people. Christians are forcing them to live as second class citizens.  Therefore the most tolerant and loving of people now feel free to openly harass and persecute Christians.  In many ways it is a less violent but more interesting version of those legendary and historical actions of another bastion of tolerance, the Emperor Nero.  For those culturally ignorant among us, LOOK IT UP.

I have a bad habit of writing about conservatives who are out of control, but they can’t hold a candle (yet) to the vile, vengeful, hateful brew of malignency that spews from the “innocent” and enlightened mouths of our prominent liberals in Hollywood and the media.

They lost all viability and honor during this past election cycle when they had no problem telling outright lies about Republicans, John McCain and Sarah Palin.  Their hatred of George W. Bush is so great they are willing to destroy themselves, their careers, and the entire viability of the journalistic tradition.  When you hate, you destroy yourselves.  And people wonder why newspapers are dying. Good riddance.

We are seeing this play out time and again in LaLa Land opponents of Proposition 8 are so spewing forth their hatred of anyone “Christian” that they are using up all the good will they once had in the “normal” world of fly-over country.

Why is it that only “minorities” have the right to be ofended?

I am highly offended with Proposition 8:  The Musical.

Don’t I have a right to be offended?

Don’t I have a right to be offended when the minority of anti Christmas scrooges descend upon my peaceful world and insult my religion and religious holidays?

When you start “banning” anything Christian, and suck all of the morality out of society, we end up with a mess, much the same way we’re dealing with a bunch of kids who don’t know the difference between right and wrong.  Once a full 25% of an entire generation cannot tell the difference between right and wrong, we have a serious morality problems.

I shudder for our future – or is there one?

Is that what liberals started out to do or is this one of the unintended consequences of political correctness?

Maybe we should start nailing copies of the 10 Commandments up – everywhere.
