Why is Barack Obama heading to Hawaii for Christmas, but he couldn’t take the time since the election to go attend his grandmother’s funeral or her memorial. I referenced this from Gateway, who quoted from AP, but now the article has been pulled.
“…memorial service for President-elect Barack Obama’s grandmother, Madelyn Payne Dunham, will be held Friday at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific in Honolulu.
The Borthwick Mortuary said Wednesday that the service will be open to the public, but the Obama family will not be in attendance.
The president-elect is scheduled to visit Hawaii in December to honor his grandmother, who helped raise him in Honolulu and died two nights before the election. Officials have not specified when Obama will make the trip.
Dunham’s husband, Stanley Dunham, who fought in World War II, was buried at the cemetery following his death in 1992….”
In all honest I did not attend the funerals for either of my grandmothers, but then I do not like going to funerals and will do just about anything to get out of them. The only reason I went to my grandfather Froehlich’s was for my grandmother.
Still, the reason given for The One (elect) not to attend the service was he just did not have time after his assention to messiah (elect). So, why does he have time to go to Hawaii now?
Have you noticed how arrogantly and expensively The One (elect) seems to be getting. I think we are in for yet another Imperial Presidency – with all the fake trappings of a fake monarchy. Let’s face it, when people behave that way, they don’t know how to behave in upscale company.
