Have you heard the one about the guy in Oklahoma City who was pulled because he had an “abort Obama” bumper sticker? It’s all about Hopeinchange – Obama style.
Do Oklahoma City cops need a course on the Constitution and the Bill of Rights? We all know Obama does.
This is getting to be rather annoying, to put it mildly.
Maybe we should boycott Oklahoma City until they make the two cops take sensitivity training from Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity Ann Coulter.
Chip Harrison was minding his own business when an OK City cop pulled him over, then reported him to the Secret Service (read “SS”) for threatening the life of Barack Obama. The Secret Service “walked through” his house to make sure he wasn’t a member of a “hate group”.
Chip Harrison, who said his employer supports him and gave him time off today to talk to the media, said he plans to put his homemade sign back in the rear window of his pickup, where it was when police stopped him on Feb. 12 and told him it could be construed as a threat against the president of the United States.
“I believe that the Lord put the abortion issue on my heart to make a statement,’ Harrison said. He told police the words “Abort Obama” meant he was calling for Obama’s impeachment over his stance on abortion, according to the police report released this morning, and the sign was returned after the officers’ supervisor intervened.
Police identified the officers who initiated the traffic stop as Sgt. Philip Paz and officer Bryan Jones. Within a couple of hours the sign was returned by police supervisor, Lt. Thomas Parker.
Police spokesman Steve McCool said this morning the sign was taken in error, and Oklahoma City residents should not be worried that their First Amendment rights will be violated.
