UPDATED: NRSC Trashes George W. Bush – Very Bad Mistake

”It is unlikely that the Reagan era
will prove to be the historic change
in the direction of America that we have sought.”
Edwin J. Feulner Jr., president of the Heritage Foundation,1985.

UPDATED:  The Pink Flamingo just got off the phone with an aide at the NRSC.  The person I talked to had NO IDEA anything like this ad had been created. The person I spoke to was completely in the dark, had no idea about anything going on.  I think when I called to ask to be forwarded to the person handling the ad, that I was just switched over to someone to get me off the phone.

I’M MAD

WHO IS IN CHARGE?

There’s a dirty little secret today’s ideological conservative doesn’t want you to know, or doesn’t know about.  In their attempt to mimic Rush Limbaugh and his golden idol worship of Ronald Reagan has amnesia when it comes to the fact that today’s senior conservative leaders considered Ronald Reagan too liberal – and not ideologically pure.  Among them was NEWT GINGRICH.

We live in an era of conservative revisionism.  At least George W. Bush is being treated as badly as Ronald Reagan was treated.

It’s too bad today’s conservative, brain dead, radio listening, ideologically pure dimwit has no earthly idea about who Ronald Reagan actually was.  Once upon a time he codified the Eleventh Commandment:

Thou Shalt Not Speak Ill of a Fellow Republican.

Get it.

Do you want to know why we are losing?

CONSERVATIVES

They have co-opted the GOP to the point where they have destroyed us.  I’m not talking the average decent conservative Republican.  I’m talking about people like Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham and every other talking head who thinks they must imitate Rush Limbaugh to get ahead in the world.

Lee Edwards has an piece for the Heritage Foundation (The once denigrated Ronald Reagan – he wasn’t pure enough for them) about the end of conservatism.  As far as I’m concerned it can’t come fast enough – and shut the freaking talking heads up with it. They are destroying our country.  Right now I’m so angry I can’t think straight.

I can’t believe the National Republican Senatorial Committee has done what they did today.  I can’t believe what NRSC “spokeswoman” Amber Wilkerson said about George W. Bush.

WILKERSON SHOULD BE FIRED

I am sick and tired of conservatives claiming to be worship

ers of Reagan when they have no idea who he actually was.  They are destroying our party.  They are destroying our country.  I’m sick of it.

“…“In light of Senator Specter’s changing political party, we felt it was our civic duty to adequately inform Pennsylvania Democrat primary voters about their new Senator’s record and his close relationship with our former President George W. Bush,” said NRSC spokeswoman Amber Wilkerson….”

I am so mad I could do something really nasty.

The NRSC is running the worst ad I’ve ever heard. It is so bad, they will never ever ever ever ever get my money until they FULLY apologize to George W. Bush for the ad.  If the GOP wants to star winning elections, this piece of trash is the wrong way to go.  I am furious.

If this is what it means to be a “conservative” count me out.  I want no part of it.  I am a Republican.  I will NEVER call myself a “Conservative” again. I refuse to be a part of any “movement” where the likes of Rush Limbaugh trash good REPUBLICANS like Lindsey Graham and John McCain.

What is going on here?

If you idiot conservatives want a war, well, now you have one.

This is the last straw.

Please give them a piece of your mind.

“…“MEET ARLEN” CALL TRANSCRIPT:

ANNOUNCER:    (Disclaimer) Hello, this is Jack.  I’ve recorded this message on behalf of the National Republican Senatorial Committee located at 425 2nd St, Washington, DC or 202-675-4260 to help you welcome your newest Democrat Senator, Arlen Specter.
We wanted to make sure that we properly introduced him to you.  Former President George W. Bush said this about Arlen Specter.
PRESIDENT BUSH:     I’m here to say it as plainly as I can, Arlen Specter is the right man for the United States Senate. I can count on this man – see that’s important. He’s a firm ally when it matters most.  I’m proud to tell you I think he’s earned another term as the United States Senator.
ANNOUNCER:    Now here is Senator Specter on important issues to Labor and Democrat interest groups.
SEN SPECTER:      I will not be an automatic 60th vote.  And I would illustrate that by my position on employee’s choice also known as card check.  Uh, I think it is a bad deal and I’m opposed to it and would not vote to invoke cloture.
ANNOUNCER:    (Disclaimer) For more information, please visit nrsc.org/meetarlen. This call is paid for by the National Republican Senatorial Committee at www.nrsc.org and not authorized by any candidate or candidate’s committee….”
