Is there a growing threat from “home grown” Islamic terrorists who are trying to attack the US? If the latest information I’m hearing is true, we have a very serious problem, and a President who doesn’t give a rip. What it does prove is that there are two differing sets of people in the US. Democrats, Liberals, and their Sacred Cows and Republicans, Conservatives, and The Evil Ones. Tiller was a Sacred Cow. Matthew Long was evil for being a soldier, right?
I continue to be amazed at the lack of attention the MSM and blogsphere is paying to the murder of William Long yesterday by an Islamic extremist. We’re not talking an “imported” Islamic extremist, but someone who was home grown, went “abroad” to study and expand his Islamic horizons and came home wanting to kill evil American Soldiers.
Barack Obama has denounced the murder of George Tiller, which he should. The question is why did he not denounce an Islamic convert who had only one regret – not killing more American soldiers.
Scott Roeder is a bad person. He is connected to some very nast far right extremists who are basically terrorists. Is there any difference between Abdulhakim Muhammad? I really don’t think there is. Indeed Muhammad has been under FBI surveylance for his trips abroad.
Is Barack Obama’s pandering to the Islamic world and his alligience to the Royal House of Saud the real problem here? Can he even comprehend the problems we face with Islamic terror in this country if he is so busy with his Islamic friends who want to destroy Israel? What does this say about his true feelings about our American soldiers? Does it have something to do with Obama’s true dislike of American values? Does he truly care about protecting this country from Terror?
When can we start asking why Obama is pandering to Iran and Islam? Are those stories about his relationship with Islam true? If so, why not have the courage to come out and say so? Maybe he’s reading the polls.
Greg at Rhymes with Right notes that liberals and Islamics have not condemned the murder of William Long, but are still hammering FOX and O’Reilly and the GOP over what Roeder did. It says a heck of a lot about the difference between the Right and the Left, Democrats and Republicans. We were quick to denounce Roeder and his actions. I’ve yet to find one Democrat who is even concered about the action of Muhammad.
What is going on when the White House and the DOJ refuses to even discuss the killing of am American Soldier, but cry tears of woe over the murder of an abortionist? Wizbang has an interesting comment about this:
“…In the wake of Tiller’s death, Attorney General Eric Holder ordered US Marshals to provide protection for abortion clinics nationwide. This order is probably appropriate, considering the continual violence directed at abortion clinics by a handful of radical anti-abortion protesters (bombings, arson, vandalism, etc.). Yet as Michelle Malkin notes, military recruiting centers have also been under continual attack by radical anti-military activists, culminating in yesterday’s tragic death. But so far, no one from the Attorney General’s office has pledged assistance, or for that matter even issued a statement….”
From American Thinker
“…there have been other attacks on recruiting centers. Although the shootings occurred at 10:00 a.m. Monday morning, as of midnight Monday, neither the White House nor the Department of Justice had issued any statements about the shootings of the soldiers. And don’t hold your breath waiting for any anti-war and “moderate” Muslim organizations to condemn these “heinous acts of violence” against our military.
Fortunately we have Sarah Palin who “gets it”.
“…The stories of two very different lives with similar fates crossed through the media’s hands yesterday — both equally important but one lacked the proper attention. The death of 67-year old George Tiller was unacceptable, but equally disgusting was another death that police believe was politically and religiously motivated as well.
William Long died yesterday. The 23-year old Army Recruiter was gunned down by a fanatic; another fellow soldier was wounded in the ambush. The soldiers had just completed their basic training and were talking to potential recruits, just as my son, Track, once did.
Whatever titles we give these murderers, both deserve our attention. Violence like that is no way to solve a political dispute nor a religious one. And the fanatics on all sides do great disservice when they confuse dissention with rage and death….”
