Sarah Palin, Can’t You Feel the Hate?

“…Recently we learned of a malicious desecration of a photo of the Governor and baby Trig that has become an iconic representation of a mother’s love for a special needs child.

The mere idea of someone doctoring the photo of a special needs baby is appalling. To learn that two Alaskans did it is absolutely sickening. Linda Kellen Biegel, the official Democrat Party blogger for Alaska, should be ashamed of herself and the Democratic National Committee should be ashamed for promoting this website and encouraging this atrocious behavior.

Babies and children are off limits. It is past time to restore decency in politics and real tolerance for all Americans. The Obama Administration sets the moral compass for its party. We ask that special needs children be loved, respected and accepted and that this type of degeneracy be condemned….”

While Sarah Palin is in Kosovo visiting troops from the Alaska National Guard, the nasty Democrats are at it again.

My personal favorite liberal attack on Sarah Palin is the one about “Morton’s Toe” and how suffering from the syndrome can cause Sarah Palin not to see things rationally.

If all Sarah Palin had to contend with were cheap shots from the right, we would be fine.  The problem is the Barack Obama – George Soros attack machine.  How much money did it take for liberals/Democrats to sell what was left of their souls?

I have no problem with a slanted piece of journalism.  It’s called politics and all’s fair.  But when it is constant, just how long is it going to keep on keeping on.  Take Tracy Dingmann’s article in th New Mexico Independent.  She fires a cheap shot discussing all of Palin’s absences from the state of Alaska and how people don’t like it.  Give me a break. Is Sarah Palin a prisoner in her own state?  Other governors get to leave, and some of them are really doing things other than hanging out in Argentina. Governors are not chained to their home states, constantly.  Until Bill Richardson came under the pall of a REAL ethics complaint, he was gallivanting all over the country.

Do people like Alaska Blogger Linda Kellen Biegal (Celtic Diva) even have a soul?  I am not putting up a copy of the photo she posted on her site, nor am I linking it to her.  Bottom line is she has concocted what appears to be a way to collect money from like thinking haters to raise money to fund additional ethics complaints, etc. against Sarah Palin.  She is using a nasty photo of one year old Trig to help sell her ethically challenged plans.

The Celtic Diva is having problems with an Alaska radio show host, Eddie Burke, who has come up with a smoking gun to prove that Biegal’s efforts are in some way connected with brighter minds within Alaska’s increasingly vicious Democratic machine.  So, she superimposed a photo of Burk over a photo of Trig’s body, implying that Burke suffers from Downs Syndrome like Trig.

Always classy, the “Celitic Diva” fired back with the following:

“…To those folks at a certain Palinbot site who think the picture above is of Trig, let me use a phrase many of you are familiar with…

It’s called “Baby Burke” because it’s Eddie Burke…basically his probable second-biggest fantasy about the Governor.

So, connecting the dots for you…WE’RE MAKING FUN OF EDDIE BURKE!!!!!!

Sarah Palin is not amused.

Basically Burke has caught her lying about a few of her Democratic associations.

Sarah Palin’s real problem is the Inside-the-Beltway mindset exhibited perfectly in a commentary Jay Cost did about her in RCP.  The problem with those who are East Coast, In the Loop, is the fact that they don’t realize there’s a huge country outside of the Beltway.

“...Second, she’s the governor of Alaska. There’s an informal hierarchy for political jobs in this country. It’s such that only a few positions have been stepping stones to the presidency: general, vice-president, senator, secretary of state, and governor. That pretty much covers it. As chief executive of Alaska, Palin technically fits the bill. However, Alaska is a thinly populated state. It has fewer people than every state but Vermont, North Dakota, and Wyoming. In fact, the mayor of Indianapolis is responsible for more people than Sarah Palin. Will the public think a single term as governor of Alaska is sufficient preparation for the presidency? I have my doubts. I’m reminded of Dennis Miller’s crack about Howard Dean’s candidacy in 2004: “What did you ever do in your life except be the head guy in a state where your main job was to come out once a year, pound a nail into a tree and hang a bucket off it?”…”

It must be killing people like Cost to discover that those of us in the GOP consider her a front runner.  I also think we are completely under-estimating her strength and her appeal.  I was talking to a local physician who is absolutely furious over the way not only the Dems but the GOP status quo is treating her.  I had no idea this person was Republican.  She has his vote and his support.  The real question is how many other people are like this in the country and do we even know they are out there?

The Status Quo within certain elements in the GOP are looking at Romney as gaining on Palin.  I DO NOT KNOW one Republican supporting Romeny.  He’s one of those, if he’s nominated I’ll vote for him, but I am sensing no real support for him.  It’s like those fake Obama polls.  Where are they getting the numbers?

  1. I believe that all these constant attacks on Gov. Palin are wearing thinner and thinner all the time. The overwhelming support she received in her shootout with Letterman, and now with both Biegel. Naturally, another front was opened when John Kerry opened his big mouth and said that he wished Sarah Palin was missing in reference to the then missing Sanford. I’ve read most of the blog entires regarding these stories as well as the news coverage, the comments were also overwhelmingly in support of Gov. Palin in the Biegel and Kerry cases.

The conventional wisdom has always been that if you are a conservative you have to just take whatever abuse is heaped upon you by the media, and now their allied bloggers, because if you don’t, you will come out the loser. Well, Gov. Palin has fought back, and she has won. That is what is making the media and their bloggers howel so much. They have thrown everything at her they possible can, and she is still standing tall, with a smile on her face, a song in her heart, self confidence, and deep inner strength. I doubt very seriously if anyone else could have withstood the pounding she has taken over the last ten months.
