John Kerry is the gift that keeps on giving.
The other day he said he wished Sarah Palin had been the one to go missing, not Mark Sanford. Yesterday Sarah Palin zinged him with a clever come-back that has made headlines. Now, Kerry is in the middle of one of his infamous flip-flops!
No, this isn’t about John Kerry and his flipping and flopping. It is all about Sarah Palin and the abject POWER her grass roots support actually has.
The Beltway liberals, conservatives, DNC, RNC, and ObamaMedia all think that Sarah Palin has little support and what she has is disorganized and in disarray.
Earlier today I sent an email to a few Sarah Palin supporters. I’ve noticed a distinct trend online, highlighting a growth in Sarah Palin blogs and a sophistication with the bloggers who have been at it for nearly a year.
It is about respect.
It is about a increasingly united and more powerful group of people who are rapidly become friends and allies in an attempt to propel Sarah Palin into the White House. It is about the fact that this ever growing group of people is becoming more and more powerful by the day.
It is all about swift action and retribution against anyone who goes beyond the normal political exercise of free speech and demanding they apologize and back down and cease and desist their absurd, cruel and degrading attacks on a woman and her family, people who do not deserve their vile treatment.
It is about Sarah Palin getting the same treatment as any other politician, no more no less. There is nothing wrong with a joke about a politician. There is something wrong with that joke falls into a pattern of degradation and harassment that has reached the point of something never experienced on the American political scene.
David Letterman attacked Sarah Palin and her family in a deplorable manner. We stood up and he backed down. John Kerry made a typical John Kerry remark. He has backed down. The Celtic Diva and several other Democratic bloggers in Alaska attacked Palin in a manner that would never be allowed against Barack Obama. They have been backed into a corner.
Bloggers and supporters for Sarah Palin are a growing presence online and in the nation at large. As a whole the group is becoming more and more sophisticated, learning the tricks of the trade from the Democrats. Barack Obama has an web brigade that appears to be shrinking and may soon only encompass the true believers and paid supporters. Palin’s presence, on the other hand appears to be growing. We are not paid. But – we are absolutely furious because of the way she has been treated.
I’ll put my money on anger and determination over a paid presence.
Disorganized my you know what.
Now, back to John Kerry:
You gotta love it!
“…Kerry’s spokeswoman now tells The Sleuth the senator really didn’t mean what he said, though his clarification would hardly qualify as an apology.
“We stand corrected, the truth is every Democrat hopes Governor Palin is in the public eye for a long, long time, especially on the 2012 presidential ballot,” Kerry spokeswoman Jodi Seth says. “Lately it’s been Vice President Cheney that everyone hopes would lose the cameras and go for a long leisurely hike on the Appalachian Trail. And good grief, if anyone thinks John Kerry is afraid of strong, smart women, they sure haven’t met his brilliant wife and two independent daughters. It sounds like getting crushed these last two election cycles cost some of these Republicans their sense of humor.”…”
