Is Health Care Reform a threat to democracy?
What if Health Care Reform, as it currently exists, is unconstitutional (I think it is). If it is defeated, I think Sarah Palin should get at least 60% of the credit for taking it down. Consequently, she must be treated like dirt. Aside from Charles Krauthammer, who just doesn’t like her, I’ve noticed a tiny bit of upswing in respect for her.
But – it is still very very very wrong for anyone to disagree with The One (Anointed). The whole problem is the fact that we are dealing with an abject Narcissist who has never been opposed by anyone.
“….”There are many disturbing details in the current bill that Washington is trying to rush through Congress, but we must stick to a discussion of the issues and not get sidetracked by tactics that can be accused of leading to intimidation or harassment,” Palin wrote. “Such tactics diminish our nation’s civil discourse which we need now more than ever because the fine print in this outrageous health care proposal must be understood clearly and not get lost in conscientious voters’ passion to want to make elected officials hear what we are saying. Let’s not give the proponents of nationalized health care any reason to criticize us….” Sarah Palin
The Pink Flamingo has pulled up headline after headline in blinding hot pink neon: The End Is Near.
In many ways I think it is.
Political and cultural civility are much like Jacob Marley, dead as a door-nail.
The two are obviously connected in much the same way the complete dressing down of the average American, who goes around looking like something that the cat dragged out from under someone’s nasty, un-made bed.
Manners are a thing of the past.
Don’t even mention table manners. That same average person looks like pigs feeding at a hog-trough. I would compare them to apes, but I don’t want to insult the apes.
Does this go back to Obama, or something else?
I still can’t pin down Obama. One minute I think he is incompetent. The next he is El President’. I think he is corrupt, inept, vicious, and nothing more than Big Bad Leroy Brown with a Tele-Prompter. Is he a communist, a socialist, a liberal, or just the perfect Democrat? Does he actually have the brains to pull off what he is attempting to do?
Shepherd Smith was lamenting all the nasty vitriol against Barack Obama and the Dems because of Health Care Reform. Only the Dems are treated like dirt, right?
Take Sarah Palin – and some conservatives wish you would. She is proving to be as slippery as Barack Obama when trying to pin her jello to the barn door – and she’s beating the you know what out of Obama.
Now that Sarah Palin has managed to beat the you know what out of Barack Obama, the MSM is upset. Like the Opinionated Catholic said, if Sarah Palin is so dumb….? Paul Begala has called her a “wack job”. Mike DeVine has a different take.
The usual sources are now damning Mike Huckabee as “unAmerican” – oye!
(The far right is rightfully outraged with the slings and arrows thrown at Sarah Palin. But – they don’t hesitate to say the very same things about Meghan McCain. It would help one’s credibility if there was a little consistency here, folks.)
Is it possible that one of the reasons Obama is being so nasty is because the GOP might have a workable health care plan? Maybe one of the problems is Barack is falling like the last cake I tried to make.
“...The administration and Congress can deny these truths with charges of un-Americanism and implausible conspiracy theories about the current citizen demonstrations. But opinion polls deliver an honest expression of unhappiness over the direction our nation is taking. Woe betide the leaders who ignore this fact….”
It is absolutely evil for Glenn Beck to say Barack Obama is a racist (he sure acts like one at times) but it is perfectly good and pure for Wanda Sykes to say nasty things about Rush Limbaugh.
