It is not enough for Republicans to be against the Dem version of health care reform. In order to remain viable, they must offer positive alternatives. This is being done – constantly. Unfortnately we’re not seeing it in the MSM. Go figure.
I think it probably is not an exhaggeration to assume that every Republican elected official on the Hill has offered something to the health care debate and have presented their ideas for reform.
Unfortunately, because they are Republicans and the MSM is solidly on Obama’s “payroll”, we’re not going to get a fair chance. Then, with Obama outright lying about the lack of GOP alternatives, I think you know the score. Same song, new verse.
It is going to be interesting to see how the Dems denigrate Sarah Palin this time. Considering she’s an “abject quitter”, and suffers from “ethical” problems, you would think that she would be unable to land an OpEd in the Wall Street Journal. She’s finished, through, caput, over, etc etc. So, why is anyone interested in what she has to say?
Could it be that Sarah Palin is a natural GOP leader?
It is obvious Mitt Romney is AWOL on the discussion, for good reason. We’re not hearing much from the other also-rans either. But – Sarah Palin rushes in where the “wise men” fear to tred. She’s a woman. She doesn’t have time for male you know what.
You gotta love it!
“…Instead of poll-driven “solutions,” let’s talk about real health-care reform: market-oriented, patient-centered, and result-driven. As the Cato Institute’s Michael Cannon and others have argued, such policies include giving all individuals the same tax benefits received by those who get coverage through their employers; providing Medicare recipients with vouchers that allow them to purchase their own coverage; reforming tort laws to potentially save billions each year in wasteful spending; and changing costly state regulations to allow people to buy insurance across state lines. Rather than another top-down government plan, let’s give Americans control over their own health care.
Democrats have never seriously considered such ideas, instead rushing through their own controversial proposals. After all, they don’t need Republicans to sign on: Democrats control the House, the Senate and the presidency. But if passed, the Democrats’ proposals will significantly alter a large sector of our economy. They will not improve our health care. They will not save us money. And, despite what the president says, they will not “provide more stability and security to every American.”…”
Want to know the real problem when it comes to Sarah Palin? She makes Barack Obama look like nothing but the incompetent whore that he is.
Palin is starting to look P R E S I D E N T I A L.
Barack Obama looks like Jimmy Carter, only worse.
Way to go SP!
Give ’em heck!
