“…I took office at a time when many around the world had come to view America with skepticism and distrust. A part of this was due to misperceptions and misinformation about my country. Part of this was due to opposition to specific policies and a belief on, on certain critical issues, America had acted unilaterally without regard for the interests of others.
And this is has fed an almost reflexive anti-Americanism which, too often, has served as an excuse for collective inaction….” Barack Obama
Years ago when I started researching the life of Wyatt Earp, I came across two different men. The Wyatt Earp of Stuart Lake’s Frontier Marshal is a cross between Superman, The Lone Ranger, and Abraham Lincoln. The Wyatt Earp of Frank Waters’ The Earp Brothers of Tombstone is a cruel, vindictive, psychopathic monster.
Which version of Wyatt Earp is correct?
I realized the only way I could truly figure out just who Wyatt Earp was – evil monster or all ’round good guy was to make a list of his friends and enemies. The old addage is you are known by your friends, enemies and those who speak good or ill of you.
This process takes a litle research.
Those against Wyatt Earp:
John Behan, Democratic hack, abused 1st wife, possibly pedophile, Warden of Yuma Women’s Prison, Sheriff of Cochise County, head customs official in El Paso. He fabricated his service record in the Spanish American War. Died from complications of syphillis. Endicott Peabody considered him the most corrupt official he had ever encountered.
There was a misc. list of old time Wild West “historians” most of whom were left over cowboys who knew how to turn a phrase. Almost to a man, all had ties to Texas cattlemen, most of whom truly disliked Wyatt Earp for his heavy-handed policies in Dodge City.
John Slaughter, “Legendary” Cochise County Sheriff truly disliked Wyatt Earp. The problem there was the fact that Slaughter came after Earp in Cochise, and established his own style of law, including shooting people in the back when necessary. When John Slaughter arrived in Cochise County, the first time, late 1879 or so, he was considered far more of a wanted man in New Mexico than Billy the Kid. There was very little criminal activity in Cochise until Slaughter arrived with his drovers, who included John Ringo, Curly Bill Brocius, Billy Claibourn, Wes Fuller, Frank Stilwell, Pete Spence, etc.
You may recognize some of these names. Billy Claibourn and Wes Fuller were two of the Cowboys who ran away just before the Gunfight at the OK Corral began. Frank Stilwell shot Morgan Earp in the back.
Wyatt Earp’s defenders included William Randolph Hearst, Endicott Peabody, Tom Mix, William S. Hart, John Ford and Teddy Roosevelt.
I rest my case.
Using my Wyatt Earp principle, lets’ see who Barack Obama deals with and who he snubs – just this week.
“...The juxtaposition on our front page this morning is striking. We carry a photograph of Acting Sgt Michael Lockett – who was killed in Helmand on Monday – receiving the Military Cross from the Queen in June, 2008. He was the 217th British soldier to die in the Afghan conflict. Alongside the picture, we read that the Prime Minister was forced to dash through the kitchens of the UN in New York to secure a few minutes “face time” with President Obama after five requests for a sit-down meeting were rejected by the White House….”
Obama is supporting Marxist Manuel Zeleya against the legal Constitution of Honduras. He is supported by Ahmadinejad, the misc. Brothers Castro, Hugo Chavez, etc. Hugo Chavez praised Obama. Last year he said he could smell sulphur after GWB spoke.
I think this completely explains who Barack Obama is, a narcissist anti-American little twerp who has a man-crush on a heck of a lot of nasty little despots who like nothing better than to destroy every form of freedom in their nation.
Is it too late to stop Obama from further destroying what little freedom remains to us? When one realizes the Democrats in the House and the Senate are going along with him, and there is a Libertarian assault on the GOP, we’re in trouble.
