One of the problems I’m having with the Episcopal Church is its rapid ride left. But, there is no way I can even consider doing the Anglican thing and attaching myself to the far right wing of the church. Evidently I am not alone in my concern that some of the far right prelates in the church are going a little too far.
“…According to informants quoted in The Catholic Herald, the Queen has “grown increasingly sympathetic” to the Catholic Church over the years while being “appalled”, along with the Prince of Wales, at developments in the Church of England. The usually well-informed newspaper adds that the Queen, who is the Supreme Governor of the C of E, is “also said to have an affinity with the Holy Father, who is of her generation”….”
H/T to my friend John Hook over at the Opinionated Catholic.
John also links to a piece about the problems we are having in the Episcopal Church.
If The Pink Flamingo had a choice, I think I would be heading in the Anglican Catholic direction. Our previous Bishop of the Rio Grande has done the same.
