Huck Slams CPAC & the Far Right!

The Republican Party is currently under vicious assault from libertarians, losertarians, Ron Paul Bots, John Birchers, Democrats, and FOX News.  As of this writing, The Pink Flamingo is more discouraged today about the prospects of the GOP than in a long time. If the current trends prevail, the losertarian Ron Paul Bot wing of the idiot brigade is going to ruin things so badly, a Dem victory in November is all but assured.

Very few Republicans have the courage to stand up against this libertaraian assault that, for some strange reason, appears to be enabled via FOX News.  Those who do end up being denigrated as RINO, “progressive” or just plain lied about, the way libertarians lie about Lindsey Graham.  Fortunately Lindsey is no longer alone.  Mike Huckabee appears to have joined the battle of the adults against the spoiled brats of losertarian branch of dimwits.

Huck slammed CPAC.

“…“CPAC has becoming increasingly more libertarian and less Republican over the last years, one of the reasons I didn’t go this year,” Huckabee said in an interview with Fox News, where he is a paid analyst and has his own show.

He was responding to a question about whether he was upset by his single-digit showing in the conference’s straw poll, which was won by libertarian-leaning Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas).

But it wasn’t the only criticism the Arkansan leveled at CPAC.

Huckabee said the rise of the tea party movement had “taken all of the oxygen out of the room,” rendering the venerable conference far less relevant than it had been in previous years.

“Where CPAC was historically the event, the tea parties are having their own events all over the country and a lot more truly grassroots people are getting involved because of the tea parties,” said the former governor.

And, goaded by Fox Host Geraldo Rivera, Huckabee went even further.

“Because of the way that it solicits sponsors, it’s almost becomes a pay-for-play,” he said. “It’s kind of like, who will pay money to be able to be a sponsor and get time in the program. That’s one of the things that has hurt its credibility in the last couple of years.”…”

CPAC was over-run by losertarians and Ron Paul bots to the point where it was a national embarrassment.  The embarrassing part of it was the way conservatives are pandering to the lowest common denominator among them.  The average conservative appears to have drunk so much tea that they no longer have the courage to denounce the extreme idiots from the fringe who now appear to be running the asylum.

Once upon a time Mitt Romney’s father, George Romney, went after the John Birch Society.  Please, read this carefully.

I think the party’s future depends upon repudiating the John Birch Society as an organization and avoiding any possibility of the society developing influence within the Party. I think this is because from experience, I have found that the John Birch Society as an organization uses methods of infiltration and subversion and tactics that we associate with other secret organizations like the Communists. And while there are members of the society that I am sure are not themselves responsible for such conduct, this conduct on the part of the organization makes it essential, as far as I’m concerned, that the Republican Party repudiate the John Birch Society as an organization.”

Cited in Chapman v. Romney, Docket #1810, Michigan Court of Appeals, 2/14/67 [6 Mich App 36 (1967); 148N.W. 2d 230]. Chapman, a member of the JBS, sued Gov. Romney for slander. The Court found in favor of Governor Romney….”

Of course the “faithful” will soon be denouncing Mike Huckabee as a “RINO”.  Then again, the only ones who do this are John Birchers and Ron Paul Bots.  Perhaps it is time for Republicans to start calling out the Losertarians and demanding they stop lying about our honorable elected officials.

  1. To be blunt, I have mixed feelings on CPAC. I do not like Dr. Paul’s Foreign Policies, but on the other hand I am glad that Mr. Romney lost. I am fed up with the Romney camp’s promotion of TARP and I am fed up with elements of the Romney camp trying to turn my state into another NY-23. So frankly, I do not mind Dr. Paul winning, at least he is Anti-TARP. Even Mr. McCain is starting to realize how bad TARP was: http://www.azcentral.com/news/election/azelections/articles/2010/02/22/20100222mccain-tarp0222.html

  2. I don’t blame Hucakbee. CPAC or the many of the groups in it continued their lying about Huckabe for months after the Primary was over. there is a cost to that
