The Co-Ordinated Libertarian Attack on Lindsey Graham (and other Republicans)

What can you say about the person who wrote this?  I gather they are Marxist and a socialist.

“…Looking back, I believe the Gang of 14 represented the best of the Senate as an institution and embodied the roles and responsibility of its members.

We face similar frustrations with major, complex issues in our country today: healthcare, entitlement reform, immigration, energy, and climate change. There are days I wish we didn’t have to get 60 votes, as I have seen my own ideas come to a screeching halt at the hands of the filibuster. But agreement on these complex issues, whose solution will affect every facet of American life, should be hard to achieve.

Democratic Sen. Daniel Patrick Moynihan of New York once said we should never pass “major legislation that affects most Americans without real bipartisan support. It opens the door to all kinds of political trouble.” He noted that the party that opposed its passage would take shots at it whenever things went wrong, and large segments of the American public would never accept its legitimacy. He was right.

Fifty plus one is a good way to elect people to office. Requiring national consensus via the Senate’s 60-vote threshold to end debate remains the most effective way to pass legislation that brings about major change in our country. Simply stated, the larger the vote, the bigger the buy in needed. …”

LOSERTARIANS ATTACK:

For several years the Losertarians & Ron Paul Bots have been systemically attacking our elected Republican officials in Washington.

First:

FOX News has turned LIBERTARIAN.  It is not fair and balanced.  Show me one actual Republican on their prime time line-up and I will let you walk my toy poodle.  They are not there.

Second:

Ron Paul Bot Losertarians are stupid.  They are mean spirited, intellectually dishonest, and vicious.  They can’t tell the truth, or perhaps they would not know the truth if it came out and hit them in the face.  They have been on the attack for several years now.  One of the few elected officials to have the courage to face them, and call down the thunder is Lindsey Graham.  Ergo, they are doing everything possible to destroy him.

Oh, and they don’t give a damn about the truth. They would rather lie and mis-represent than spend 5 minutes doing some fact checking.

Third:

We are dealing with endless Losertarian/Ron Paul Bot lies about Lindsey and others being socialist and Marxist, yet men like Lindsey are the ones who are trying to protect the country and fight terror.  The Ron Paul Bots are the ones who are the ones who DO NOT BELIEVE in protecting our country.  They are even working with Dennis Kucinich to stop funding the war on terror in Afghanistan!  You call that Conservative?

Fourth:

It is time to stop the Libertarian lies about our good Republicans not being all they should assisting the Taxpayer. Four of the men on the Senate list are regularly targeted by Ron Paul Bots & Losertarians as being “socialist” and Marxist.  When are they going to stop lying about these things?

“..Sen. Tom Coburn (R-OK): 97%, A
Sen. Jim DeMint (R-SC): 97%, A
Sen. John McCain (R-AZ): 93%, A
Sen. John Ensign (R-NV): 93%, A
Sen. James Inhofe (R-OK): 93%, A
Sen. Richard Burr (R-NC): 92%, A
Sen. Mike Enzi (R-WY): 92%, A
Sen. Jim Bunning (R-KY): 92%, A
Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL): 91%, A
Sen. John Barrasso(R-WY):  91%, A
Sen. Jon Kyl (R-AZ): 91%, A
Sen. John Thune (R-SD): 91%, A
Sen. Saxby Chambliss (R-GA): 90%, A
Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC): 90%, A
Sen. Johnny Isakson (R-GA): 90%, A…”

Fifth:

They are bunch of tin plated dictators who are determined that no Republican should have the freedom to associate with a liberal.

COORDINATED ATTACK

Thing is, Lindsey is not the only Republican being systemically targeted by Losertarians.

What is their agenda?

What do they have to gain by destroying our elected officials?

Myron Ebell, a libertarian shill on PJ Media is running a hit piece on Lindsey. This is my comment,

Then, Ebell completely MISQUOTES the college comment. This is the rest of the quote:

“…“I have been to enough college campuses to know if you are 30 or younger this climate issue is not a debate. It’s a value. These young people grew up with recycling and a sensitivity to the environment — and the world will be better off for it. They are not brainwashed. … From a Republican point of view, we should buy into it and embrace it and not belittle them. You can have a genuine debate about the science of climate change, but when you say that those who believe it are buying a hoax and are wacky people you are putting at risk your party’s future with younger people. You can have a legitimate dispute about how to solve immigration, but when you start focusing on the last names of people the demographics will pass you by.”…”

“I did not know this Lindsey Graham, and I’ve known him for years. In fact, I was the GOP county chair in Oconee County, Lindsey’s home county, when he first ran for Congress in 1994. Who knew he was a pawn for big energy? Golly!

It is amazing how the far right can manipulate facts the same way the far left does. What is left out of this hit piece is the fact that Duke Power is a huge factor in South Carolina and a major source of jobs. The nuclear industry is huge in South Carolina and a major source of jobs. GE is working in Greenville, SC and with Clemson University to provide – JOBS. South Carolina has one of the highest rates of unemployment in the country, but that is not mentioned in the article, is it?

Ebell also mis-represents what Lindsey was trying to do with the cap/trade thing, but then again, the far right has been lying about that one since Lindsey dared write an article with John Kerry. The idea behind imposed cap/trade rules was to STOP people like Obama and the EPA from doing what ever they want and put LIMITS on just what an out of control regulatory agency could do. But, if you add that to the article it makes Lindsey look good, and look like a Republican, and Lindsey Graham is evil and must be destroyed, right?”

Ebell, a libertarian shill, dared to call Lindsey a Marxist and a socialist. Ebell is ignoring the award Lindsey just received as a “Taxpayer’s Friend”.

Typical losertarian he is, Ebell is ignoring the valuable work Lindsey is doing to protect our country on the war on terror.

“…Mr. Graham is pushing the administration to prosecute those accused of plotting the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks before a military commission, rather than in civilian court as the Justice Department intended.

Beyond that one case, though, Mr. Graham and others familiar with his proposals said he was seeking Mr. Obama’s support for comprehensive legislation setting detailed guidelines for handling all detainees. Such legislation would allow investigators to delay reading suspects their Miranda rights, send most top-level Qaeda figures to military rather than civilian courts and explicitly authorize the government to imprison some terrorism suspects without trials — not just Guantánamo inmates, but detainees who may be captured years in the future.

“Judges are begging us to do this,” Mr. Graham said. “I want Congress and the administration to come up with a detainee policy that will be accepted by courts and so that the international community will understand that no one is in jail by an arbitrary exercise of executive power.”…”

WHAT IT’S ALL ABOUT:

Lindsey is trying to avert a financial meltdown. The SCOTUS ruled that the EPA can impose any sort of fines, rates, etc. on cap/trade that they wish. Lindsey is trying to stop this. Problem is people like Ebell are lying through their teeth about Lindsey.

For some strange and inexplicable reason losertarians hate Republicans who are trying to do something viable.  Maybe we should stop denigrating our Republican officials and start asking why losertarians are attacking.  They are attempting to do a number on John McCain, but he, too, is fighting back!

  1. Dang, SJR!

Is the National Review a libertarian magazine?

    Is Rush Limbaugh a libertarian?

    Nope. Not even.

I can tell you that Fox News is NOT libertarian by a long shot despite employing Glenn Beck, Andrew Napolitano, and John Stossel. We know our own.

You’re demonizing everyone who stands up to a sleazy politician who makes mincemeat out of the flesh of the electorates as he stabs them in the back over and over again. (I think Gaham has a severe case of “spine envy.”)
