Is ALIPAC’s William Gheen a Bigoted Bully & Closet White Supremacist?

The extreme far right is getting downright nasty.   Hugh Hewitt is now trying to decide who should and should not be a Republican.  Rudy Giuliani has stepped in it by endorsing Trey Grayson over Ron Paul’s heir.  Someone needs to warn Rudy that Ron Paul Bots are vile, lying pieces of human debris who are one and the same with the John Birch Society.  They will do or say anything to get their way.

There is a bottom line here and it is not about Tea Parties (but make them look really bad) but about immigration reform.  The forces behind strict anti-immigration reform HATE.  They are haters, vicious, lying bigots who will do anything and say anything to promote their position.

Right now their long knives are out for a few good Republicans.  John McCain is one of them.  Once crossed, the forces of anti-immigration reform will not stop until their foes are utterly destroyed.  It’s the John Tanton way.  Just ask the Audobon Society and the Sierra Club.  They know all about his methods which would make Alinsky proud.  So, William Gheen, like all Tanton’s other mindless puppets of hate is at it again.  This time, though the McCain Campaign is fighting back, and taking no prisoners.

Over the years The Pink Flamingo and ALIPAC’s William Gheen have crossed swords.  Gheen is very protective of his good name and his image, and rightfully so.  Everyone has a right not to be slandered, verbally abused, and subjected to abject harassment – even William Gheen.  This said, over the years, it has become obvious that Gheen is very good at dishing it out but can’t take it.

Is it true that William Gheen’s group ALIPAC is in bed with the KKK, National Socialist Movement and David Duke?  The McCain Campaign thinks it is.  Oh, and is it true that William Gheen  has a potty mouth?

Gheen wants to be importantThe bully-boy head of ALIPAC, a nativist group of people who absolutely adore Hispanics (as long as they know their place, and that is obviously not in the US) Gheen has used his considerable political clout to endorse J. D. Hayworth.  And, thank heavens, John McCain’s campaign has finally gone nuclear on Gheen! (and it is about time).  Gheen may threaten The Pink Flamingo, and has done so over the years, but I don’t think he’s going to get away with threatening John McCain.  And, trust me, they have the dirt on him!

“…“JD Hayworth has taken sides with the 80% of Americans who want our borders secured and our existing immigration laws enforced,” William Gheen, president of ALIPAC says in a statement. “By contrast, John McCain has clearly taken sides with the Open Borders Lobby which would wreck this nation by pursuing amnesty, instead of enforcement

“It is clear that anyone in Arizona or any state in America who is concerned about illegal immigration should support JD Hayworth for U.S. Senate.”…”

McCain’s bunch are suggesting that Hayworth disavow Gheen and is lovely little friends.

“…”J.D. Hayworth’s lavish praise for the social theories of noted anti-Semite and xenophobe Henry Ford sparked a major controversy during his losing 2006 campaign, causing many Arizonans to question Mr. Hayworth’s judgment. It is astounding that Mr. Hayworth would today accept the endorsement of a group that the Anti-Defamation League reports is backed by white supremacists, neo-Nazis and anti-Semites. Mr. Hayworth should immediately disavow this group’s support,” says Brian Rogers, the McCain campaign’s Communications Director….”

And:

“…Brian Rogers, the McCain campaign’s communications director, tells New Times that to use the “endorsements” to which the Hayworth campaign alludes in defense of its ALIPAC endorsement isn’t comparable. He says McCain never accepted the mentioned endorsements and often denounced them….”

And:

…”Why on Earth would Congressman Hayworth want the support of a man with whom he has such ‘strong’ disagreements, and the endorsement of his group which has been linked to white supremacists, neo-Nazis, and anti-Semites?” Rogers asks. “That’s the real test for Congressman Hayworth — will he match his words with action, or will his fetish with the extreme fringe continue?”..”

According to James King, of the Phoenix New Times (one of The Pink Flamingo’s favorite liberal pubs) had an ear-full from Gheen.

“…We called ALIPAC organizer William Gheen and had to listen to a blast of profanity and his asking us to contact him by e-mail in the future so he could shove a hard copy of our questions “up [our] ass.” He threatened to “sue the shit out of” New Times for even asking about racist language on the Web site.

Gheen says the language was posted by other people, not members of the group’s executive board, although he admitted to using the term “wetback” in the past. …”

There is another version of the story from the Politico Mafioso

“…We called ALIPAC organizer William Gheen and had to listen to a blast of profanity and his asking us to contact him by e-mail in the future so he could shove a hard copy of our questions “up [our] ass.” He threatened to “sue the shit out of” New Times for even asking about racist language on the Web site.

Gheen says the language was posted by other people, not members of the group’s executive board, although he admitted to using the term “wetback” in the past….”

It’s a William Gheen and an anti-immigration thing.  They like to threaten people who EXPOSE them!  Please, read the whole story from the Politico Mafioso about William Gheen and his nasty little white supremacist friends.

Gheen, rightly, does not like being associated with these people and has gone out of his way to repudiate them.  The problem here is if it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck, waddles like a duck, lays eggs like a duck, and swims like a duck….well…?

“...Another member posted a link to the list of ALIPAC’s upcoming events, and under each post made by a Texas-based Stormfront member, a call to “PLEASE SUPPORT ALIPAC” is featured.Featuring links to and Complete Pieces from the ALIPAC Web siteAnti-Semitic and white supremacists Web sites also feature links to and complete pieces from the ALIPAC Web site.

* In early April 2009, the Web site of American Free Press, a virulently anti-Semitic newspaper, featured a front-page link to an article on the ALIPAC Web site. The newspaper’s Web site also featured a November 2008 article by Gheen and information about ALIPAC. American Free Press is published by Willis Carto, one of the most influential American anti-Semitic propagandists of the past 50 years. Carto also publishes The Barnes Review, a Holocaust denial magazine.

* The Web site of American Renaissance, a white supremacist journal, has featured a number of articles that either originate from ALIPAC’s Web site or discuss the group.

Most recently, the American Renaissance Web site posted an April 2009 piece written by William Gheen in which he described his experience at an anti-immigrant event at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. American Renaissance described ALIPAC as a “non-white pressure group.”

* David Duke, an anti-Semite and white supremacist, has featured several pieces from ALIPAC on his Web site, including articles about the group’s activity. Duke, a former Ku Klux Klan Grand Dragon, was arrested in April 2009 in the Czech Republic on suspicions that he was spreading Holocaust denial….”

WHO IS WILLIAM GHEEN?

He thinks the census is a conspiracy.

The SPLC has  a very nice profile of Gheen.  The Pink Flamingo suggests you read it – and cringe.

“...The website of the influential political action committee Americans for Legal Immigration, commonly known as ALI-PAC, contains a list of “Gheen-isms,” folksy nativist aphorisms from ALI-PAC founder William Gheen. Here’s one example: “Call me old fashioned, but people should be able to shop at Wal-Mart without worrying about catching [t]uberculosis.”…”
