Michelle Malkin and FOX News are promoting a great big whammy about the May Day violence, making their increasingly brain dead viewers think it was all promoted by Hispanics and those nasty illegal immigrants who speak Spanish. The problem is the arrest records released to day don’t exactly confirm Malkin’s gushing anti-Hispanic rhetoric. What she is not telling, and neither if FOX is that the violence was conducted by white separatist anarchists, not pro-immigration Hispanics.
Why not tell the truth?
The Far Right is orgasmic because of some violence during the May Day Hispanic marches. Michelle Malkin is using it to point to those evil Reconquista Hispanics. She is breathless, excited, and just plain bubbly promoting her own little personal brand of anti-Hispanic hate (and it is hate). I wonder if she is going to correct the record about the story.
“…They came, they saw, they threatened or committed violence in the name of open borders and workers’ rights. But alas, Frank Rich and Paul Krugman’s columns decrying the insane rage and hate of the May Day angry mob got lost in the mail….”
Oh dear. Perhaps Malkin would like to correct the record on just who was arrested in North Carolina. They were also anarchists – NOT HISPANICS. There is no connection between the immigration rally.
“…There’s no connection between the immigration protest and last night’s vandalism. I know many of the people who organized and participated in the immigration protest and they are not the same folks. There were only two Ashevillians arrested in connection with the vandalism and neither one was involved AT ALL with the immigration protest. The vandals were anarchists, mostly from out of town who, for some reason, decided to attack downtown Asheville on May Day. The fact that both events happened on the same day is a coincidence. The immigration group is peaceful, law abiding and just wants to express it’s point of view. These vandals use a political philosophy as an excuse to be criminals….”

There are reports that a few minutemen types were attacked. Please read this carefully:
“…Three members of the Bay Area National Anarchists — a group that believes in white separatism and which supports the controversial Arizona anti-immigrant law — were attacked with mace, punches, kicks, and shoves as they left the immigration reform rally Saturday, according to BANA founder Andrew Yeoman…”
Now – there is more. The Anarchists who were attacked are WHITE SUPREMACISTS! A few little minutemen were there, with the anarchists, protesting the Hispanic rally.!
“...Donnell Allen, a 42-year-old black San Francisco resident, and Kelsey Musgrove, a 19-year-old white female from Pittsburgh, Penn., were arrested on Saturday after an alleged attack on four Bay Area National Anarchists while the self-professed white separatists were leaving a counter-protest of the immigration reform rally in Civic Center Plaza. Police say the suspects were wearing all-black clothing.
This isn’t Allen’s first brush with the law. News reports indicate he was also arrested back in December during an attack on UC Berkeley chancellor Robert Birgeneau’s campus residence.
John Hamasaki, the attorney for Musgrove, says she was in San Francisco checking out massage therapy schools. “She’s never been arrested, never been in trouble, she’s not one of these people that society needs to be worried about.”
A third suspect, anarchist theorist Andre Grubacic, a 34-year-old white San Francisco resident, was detained but released at the scene after the victims said he wasn’t part of attack. (The more common spelling of Grubacic’s first name is Andrej.) A fourth suspect, an unknown white male, pedaled away on a bicycle before the cops could catch him….Yeoman, who has been penning credos about his anti-immigration views on extreme right websites, claims the attackers were Antifa, or anti-Fascists. Meanwhile someone calling themselves “antifa” has posted an article on the attack on indybay entitled “Stop the Bay Area National Anarchists!”: “There is no place in the Bay area (or anywhere) for this fascist scum, no matter how they try to package themselves.”
UPDATE At 4:30 p.m., 5/3: John Hamasaki, a private defense attorney who is representing Kelsey Musgrove pro bono, disputes Yeoman’s earlier account of the fight. After talking to witnesses of the fight, Hamasaki says “It was the BANA people who had a baton, and one of them had brass knuckles and tried to blame it on the other kids.” He says Musgrove “was struck first, she didn’t instigate any fights. I’ve heard that from more than one person.” He says the one witness says a BANA member had yelled before the scuffle: “This is my city and I’m taking it back for the white people.”"
In Santa Cruz the cops have arrested 2 people. Both are WHITE. They are anarchists. They are the ones who did the damage. Get it - ANARCHISTS – not HISPANICS!
“…Jimi Hayes, 24, was arrested on suspicion of felony vandalism and parole violation, and Thomas Williams, 41, was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication and obstruction of a public officer. Both men were identified by police as transients….About 250 people had gathered downtown Saturday night for an international workers’ day rally. At about 10:30 p.m., some of the people rallying started smashing storefront windows and painted graffiti in the form of anarchy signs on dozens of businesses on Pacific Avenue….
Santa Cruz police said the combination of fliers directing people downtown, with the words “Dance Party” on them, and bogus 911 calls may have been part of a larger plot.
“We believe this was a direct challenge to us based on our staffing levels,” Friend said. “People were aware of how many officers we would have in the area. We believe they were pretty sophisticated and know how to divert these police resources.” One of the men arrested told officers he received anarchist information from SubRosa Café on Pacific Avenue, police told Action News. Before asking an Action News crew to leave the premises, Jennifer Charles, of SubRosa Café, said that just because one person saw some material at her establishment, it doesn’t mean the group organized or had anything to do with what took place Saturday night. Charles was the spokesperson for the Tree Sitters, a group of protesters who delayed construction on the UC Santa Cruz campus for months between 2007 and 2008, and is now part of the collective at SubRosa Café, a nonprofit under the name, Revolution Garden Society. About 20 to 30 people are part of the collective. The group’s space also houses the Anarchist Lending Library, which features books on anarchy and other reading materials.
“From our perspective, they’re operating legally as a business right now within the city of Santa Cruz,” Friend said. “The blame doesn’t lie within a business, the blame lies with the individuals who committed the acts.” Late Monday afternoon, SubRosa Café reiterated in a post on its Web site that it had nothing to do with Saturday’s violence.
“If they’re not involved, I’d like to see them help clean some of the glass up, and helping the businesses that were affected,” Ryan Coonerty, vice mayor of Santa Cruz, said. “That’s the least they could do.”…”
