Last week, The Pink Flamingo told you about the nasty hit Harry Teague’s little George Soros funded friends had made on Steve Pearce. Pearce is fighting back.
One thing you need to know about Steve Pearce, he’s one of the finest politicians I’ve ever met. He’s a good, decent man who does put his faith into practice. Last November I interviewed Steve a day or so after my mother had elbow surgery. She wasn’t doing well, and I was a bit concerned. I mentioned this during the interview. As I rose to leave, Steve stood and gave me a hug. “My wife and I will be praying for your mother.” That remark was unexpected. Those prayers were needed. A week later we nearly lost her. (It took her months to recover from her pneumonia and yet another 2 week hospital stay)
On Wednesday’s show, Michael Medved had a segment where he pondered the question of why, considering how vicious things were, would a decent man or woman even want to get into politics. The recent Soros-backed hit on Steve is one of those times you gotta wonder why a decent man or woman would even bother.
I don’t think we stop to thank these good people enough, for putting their lives on hold and their reputations at a point where they will be kicked into the gutter. When do the lies stop? At times like this, the Medved question is a very good one. Why would anyone bother?
I think maybe we have started treating those who are in public office and those running for office far more badly and suspiciously than they deserve. Perhaps we are the problem, not the politicians.
