After my snippy post on Sunday, one would think there was nothing new that could be said about Nikki Haley. Yea, The Pink Flamingo is wrong, once again.
The other day Time Magazine named Nikki to be one of Time’s 40 Under 40. Various sources within the state are questioning why she was put on the list.
Like I have said, repeatedly, if Nikki were Nick, there would be no political career. It would be over, DOA, finished….etc.
FTS has news that Larry Marchant has signed an affidavit attesting to the one night stand the pair had, once upon a time. Now The Pink Flamingo doesn’t give a rip who she is sleeping with. I don’t appreciate the fact that she may be lying about it. I don’t appreciate the fact that she is playing the gender victim card.
You don’t see Susanna Martinez playing gender victim as she pounds Diane Denish. Sharon Angle is not playing gender victim. Even with the nasty slams against Meg Whitman (one of my heros), you don’t see her crying about being a victim.
Funny how the only victims you see are Nikki Haley and Christine O’Donnell. Wonder why that is?
“…Sex scandals have embarrassed this state enough. Then when you add to that the business scandals and the lack of attention that Haley gave to her job in the State House, and well, even a rock ribbed Republican with any sense of values has to wonder.
But, the reality of the situation is what it is. Haley will be elected. People will be so mad at Obama that they will not care if Haley did this or that. She is a Republican. Sheheen is a Democrat. Haley is good. Sheheen is bad. It is right out of Animal Farm.
Those who stand up against Haley will be lucky to sell used cars in Sumter….until it all falls down. Frankly put, either Haley will resign or be impeached in disgrace or be the next Vice President of the United States. If that happens, maybe Will Folks and Larry Marchant can at least get a book deal for their efforts. The rest of us are going to be saddled with a scandal ridden Governor from day one. But, hey, at least she’s not in Obama’s party, right?…”
It isn’t about the sex scandals. That’s just good fun South Carolina politics. It is about her taxes, employment records, and her lack of credibility.
From The Daily Beast:
“…But in the run-up to Election Day, a steady stream of awkward allegations about Haley have cropped up. The CPA candidate was found to have filed her taxes late three times since 2003, incurring more than $4,500 in fines. Emails obtained by the Associated Press contradicted her past statements that she had left her previous employment as a fundraiser for a local hospital on good terms, showing instead considerable animosity between her and her employer. In addition, questions have been raised about work she did for companies that had business with the state legislature. The questions have gotten so intense that an influential group of current and former Republican Party officials called Conservatives for Truth in Politics was formed to oppose Haley’s candidacy, claiming more than 100 members. The Charleston Post and Courier quoted an anonymous state senator Friday as saying privately that “few of the state’s 27 Republican Senators are prepared to vote for Haley….”
