Yes, I stayed up.
I’m glad I did.
It was a wonderful break from the vitriol, ugliness, and nastiness that is almost cursing the American political scene.
It was …. very Christian.
I am so tired of ugliness, cruelty, and the nasty way things are going in this country. It was spiritually rewarding to see something beautiful, peaceful, full of abject class – and reflecting the Spirit of Christ.
To hear the press in this country, esp. some on FOX, this never should have happened. O’Reilly is almost at the point of ‘Off with their heads.’ They are missing the point – which was best said in the musical Fiddler on the Roof – “Without tradition we’re as shaky as a fiddler on the roof.”
I love the pomp and circumstances.
Why is England so important?
It was the first fully Christian nation.
At least there are some in England who aren’t afraid to show what they believe.
We could learn a bit from them.
We could learn, as a nation, that there’s nothing wrong with a celebration that includes our Christian heritage.
God Save the Queen!
(and all the rest of us).
