Is there a fourth?

“…The woman recently told her new employer that an embarrassing story might soon break involving her and a GOP presidential candidate. POLITICO initially reached the woman on the phone about two weeks ago, when she declined to comment, and has not been able to reach her since then….”

They are being called sluts, whores, bimbos, prostitutes, con artists, liberal activists and worse by the far right.  The people who are denigrating these women are the very men and women who never bothered vetting Giggles O’Donnell, Sharon Angle, and made sure Nikki was elected.  These are the same people who prop up Jan Brewer in Arizona and rave about New Mexico’s incompetent excuse for a Republican – Susanna Martinez.  They’ve never met a libertarian- tea party candidate they fail to endorse.  They don’t believe in vetting.  But – the do believe in character assassination and cruel, vindictive nastiness.  In order to prop up an increasingly incompetent candidate they are insulting at least 80% of the women of the GOP.

Why?

Politico

Would you support any candidate if they were accused three times for sexual harassment?  According to Rasmussen, Cain is still pulling 26%.  I can see sticking with someone when there is only one such harassment claim, as in the Anita Hill thing.   After all these years, Justice Thomas is like Caesar’s Wife – beyond reproach. Linda Chavez has an interesting approach to the story.

They are being called sluts, whores, bimbos, prostitutes, con artists, liberal activists – and that is by so called “Christian Conservatives”.  Their constant attacks on these women, and the alleged individuals who allegedly leaked the story exposing their poor little libertarian Tea Party Businessman hero.  He is being defended by Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, and Laura Ingraham.  Doesn’t matter what the factual accuracy is, Cain is a self-made businessman, ergo he is a messiah figure.

When I read the PJ report today, I was sickened.  In it I saw the same story that was told to me by a young woman (we will call her Miss X), about a year ago.  Her phone call was frantic.  She was considering suicide.  No one would believe her if she were raped.  Miss X would not go to the cops because the person who did it was a friend.  The “friend” and his girlfriend (who was friends with Miss X) were at her apartment, late one evening.  Miss X was on prescription medication that did not need to be mixed with alcohol.  If so, it was almost like a date rape drug.  She could not stop the rape.

Because Miss X thought no one would believe it, she lived with the story for months, her behavior becoming more and more erratic.  As soon as she called me I started making calls, getting her help.  It is almost the same story of the young woman Simon wrote about on Thursday.

The Pink Flamingo first read the PJ report about noon, then had to take off for more important things (beauty shop).  I missed the correction and all the discussion about it.

WSJ

“...Now even if everything in the PJM story is true (and I’m not speculating that it is), there still aren’t enough details to understand exactly what Cain is supposed to have done wrong. In the very least, it’s a bad idea — and a poor mark on character — for a married man in a position of power over a younger woman to initiate an affair with said woman. If he pressured her into a sexual encounter, either implicitly or explicitly, from that position of power, then he’d indeed be culpable in a civil harassment suit….”

Why isn’t Gloria Cain going to do the Greta interview?  Cain is considering legal action against the Politico.

The Politico

“…“The number of questionable and possibly illegal transactions conducted on behalf of Herman Cain is staggering,” said Maistelman, a Democrat who has represented politicians from both parties on campaign issues.

Block and Hansen have not returned numerous calls in recent days.

Late Friday, Block sent an email saying: “Will be able to respond to you, but need to schedule time to review questions. Obviously in the midst of a Presidential campaign I cannot drop everything.”

For decades, Block worked behind the scenes for several conservative candidates and causes in Wisconsin. He is best known in the state for his role as campaign manager for former state Supreme Court Justice Jon Wilcox in 1997. Accused of election law violations, Block settled the case by agreeing to pay a $15,000 fine and to stay out of Wisconsin politics for three years.

More recently, Block, 57, ran the state chapter of Americans for Prosperity, a nonprofit cofounded by the conservative Koch brothers that helped organize the tea party movement in Wisconsin and elsewhere.

It was through Americans for Prosperity that Block met Cain and encouraged him to run for national office. Block’s role with the Cain campaign became a point of national interest in the past week when a bizarre online campaign ad featuring the chain-smoking Wisconsin operative went viral.

In recent years, Block spun off a handful of organizations from Americans for Prosperity, most of them incorporating “prosperity” in the name. Officials with Americans for Prosperity emphasize that these other groups were legally separate from their organization.

The largest group founded by Block was called Wisconsin Prosperity Network, which was supposed to be an umbrella organization that would spend more than $6 million a year underwriting a dozen or so other conservative groups in the hopes of turning the state red….”

Why Cain is unqualified to be POTUS – with out the harassment scandal.

NRO

Loyd Marcus continues the tea party/libertrian/conservative idiocy of defending Cain.

“...While the original source of the political sexual harassment attack on you is debatable, the left has joyfully picked up the ball and run with it, piling on daily with unsubstantiated embellishments.

Rest assured, my brother, their efforts to destroy you are proving fruitless, as evidenced by the rise in financial contributions to your presidential campaign.

Please forgive me for presuming to speak for the Christians in our tea party family when I say we are praying for you. I personally believe and offer this scripture to you, “No weapon formed against you shall prosper”.

So, let the evil left do their thing. Let them relentlessly labor at their “got to take out the n—–” campaign. I gleefully report, “It ain’t workin’!”

These knucklehead liberal political hacks and their media are stuck in the past. They erroneously still believe they set the rules, can successfully “take-out” our candidates and can anoint our candidates. They are mistaken. There’s a new, John Wayne style sheriff in town called the Tea Party; kickin’ butt and takin’ names.

Herman Cain, bottom line; we, your Tea Party family, have got your back! Hang in there and keep the faith. Millions are behind your efforts 100%….”

LGF

This leads me to ask what kind of a woman would defend Herman Cain?  Well, the only ones I can find are tea party types like Pam Geller and now this Voices Empower (H/T Sally Vee)

NY Times

Dan Riehl sums it up, quite well.

“...Knowing that, as I honestly felt I did, and watching him manipulate people just pissed me off. Frankly, if he had been serious maybe a year or so ago, who  knows, he may have had a shot. Cain has been in and around DC for decades. He knows full well what you can and can’t do if you seriously want to become POTUS. The man just didn’t care. But his schtick made a lot of other people care. And that leaves me not caring for him at all, frankly…”

This is the beginning of the end.    His campaign is a joke. AFT is now trying to cover its tushie.

Politico

Doug Mataconis also nails it.

“…As a candidate for President of the United States, Herman Cain is clearly a “public figure” as that term was defined in Sullivan and the cases that followed it. That means he would have to prove to a jury not only that the facts set forth in the Politico report were untrue, but also that Politico and its reporters published their story with the knowledge that the story was  false or with reckless disregard as to its truth. That’s an incredibly high standard to meet and, given the sourcing in the story, probably impossible. In fact, I’d imagine that this is the kind of story that went through several levels of legal and editorial review before it was allowed to go public, just for these reasons. In other words, the Cain campaign’s legal threats are meaningless nonsense.

Beyond the legal issues though, one has to wonder about a candidate for President whose response to a press report that he doesn’t like is to say “I’m gonna sue.” It’s a sign of arrogance and disregard for free speech that people ought to find disturbing. In the end, I seriously doubt Cain would actually sue over this, mostly because a lawsuit would result in whatever the details behind this story are becoming public, but the idea that he’d even consider it is more than a little offensive….”

I know of another young woman who spent the weekend with her parents.  Four of her buddies from the school she was attending were along with her.  She was not dating any of them, had known them for years.  They stopped and bought sodas on the way back to school, slipping her a ruphie.  Pulling into a rest area, they raped her for several hours.  When she arrived back at school and reported it, they took her immediately to the infirmary.  While waiting for her frantic parents to arrive, one of the guys in the infirmary raped her a second time, to teach her a lesson.  A few years later, out of school, good job, great condo, new life, she and her fiance went to a concert.  She rarely drinks, terrified of what could happen to her.  She did that night.  Knowing the fiance had an early day, she told him just to wait for her to get to her door and she would be fine.  The moment he pulled away, her neighbor and his roommate burst in on her to rape her again.  Seems he was a friend of one of the original rapists, and wanted to teach her a lesson.

Like Miss X, she is surviving.  You never recover from something like this.  The best you can hope for is survival.  Trust me, I know all about it.

These are the sluts, whores, bimbos, prostitutes, con artists, liberal activists Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham and about 75% of the conservative world is denigrating.  I honestly don’t know who they are anymore. I do know their lack of moral character and decency is seriously damaging the GOP.

The only good part of this is it could completely dry out the tea parties, who are supporting Herman Cain, no matter what.

I don’t believe it simply because Liberals are saying it. They lie about everything from the Creation of the World to the need for Partial Birth Abortions to save the life of a woman.

They lied about Al Gore winning the 2000 election, about Clinton’s role is allowing 9-11 to take place and that George W. Bush “knew about 9-11 before 9-11″. That last “quote” was from Hillary Clinton. She said that at the Mountaineers Club long before Michael Moore ever did!

They lied about GW Bush’s Military Service. And they found people WILLING TO LIE and willing to create FORGED DOCUMENTS. Do you remember Rathergate?

They lied about the removal of Saddam’s WMD’s from IRAQ. Nuclear residue from IRAQ was found in French scrap metal yards. The UN even admitted that.

They lied about the 10,000 Tons of Super Explosives (that could be used to trigger a Nuclear Reactions) that “supposedly” went missing under GW Bush’s care. The Liberal News Mafia all knew that the UN Security people had removed the Simtex (explosives) and had given them to IRAQI mining operations. It was all a LIE!

That was going to be the 2004 November surprise as CBS News planned to release that info 1 day before the Election!! Fortunately FOX News broke the story 10 days before the election and DEBUNKED THE LIES!

Now please don’t take the next part personally because its not directed at you SJR. I mean this in general and have even said this to my 80 year old mother who believes everything they Liberals say on TV.

to trust anything the Liberals say is no different (as far as I am concerned) than putting a Satanic Alter on top your TV set because you are listening to the Devil when you listen to them. They will fill your head full of lies. To believe them is to believe the Devil

anyway, all that being said, Herman Cain is not even qualified to be a Mayor of a small town with a population of 200. He has to go but but for different reasons not the LIES

    P.S.
Glenn Beck, Ron Paul, Libertarians and most Tea People are not any better than CNN (CBS, ABC, MSNBC, ect..) when it comes to credibility.

That’s the whole thing – not qualified!

    SJR

He’s not qualified AND he’s a pervert. So THERE.

    Don’t worry. Its all good!

If Herman is nominated then loses to Obama
the Tea People will go away and form their own little “official” Tea Party which will continue to lose just like the Libertarians have since the mid 1970′s. And that is a GOOD outcome.

If Herman Cain is rejected in favor of Mitt Romney
the poor little Tea People will scream and cry and yell RINO’s!! Then they will form their own little “official” Tea Party which will lose over and over and over just like the Libertarians have since the mid 70′s. And that is a VERY GOOD outcome.

And if by some odd chance that Herman Cain should win the Election, well then, I guess thats GOOD too because at this point I KNOW that my Cat (Whiskers) is smarter than Obama. My Cat knows more about Global and Macro-Economics than Obama does and I think the Cat would do a better job at creating jobs.

If Herman gets the nomination I’m voting Kitty Kitty….
    oops I mean Whiskers

I was thinking much the same thing.
