I detest hypocrites. For the next few days, at CPAC, you are going to hear one and all denounce abortion, Planned Parenthood, and ANYONE connected with them. I guess they’d better denounce themselves. Over the years, The Pink Flamingo has repeatedly written about John Tanton and his funding of Planned Parenthood. I have a detailed expose of Tanton, FAIR, Planned Parenthood, and the anti-immigration movement that shows just how important Planned Parenthood is in the mix of these organizations.
Please follow the Yellow Brick Road, because this train is now leaving for never never land.
I would like to concentrate, immediately, on the fact that Pro-English is run by a known white supremacist, who hired another known white supremacist for its staff (Phil Tignino), but, over the years, I’ve discovered that many conservatives don’t give a damn about the white supremacist connections, but Planned Parenthood is the kiss of death.
“...Other panelists at the Thursday afternoon event include: Peter Brimelow, editor of the white nationalist website VDARE; Serge Trifkovic, an Islamophobic Serbian expatriate who before becoming the foreign affairs editor at the paleo-conservative magazine Chronicles was a spokesman for the convicted war criminal Biljana Plavsic; ProEnglish board chair, Rosalie Porter; and John Derbyshire, a contributing editor at National Review….”
Pro-English is on the program for CPAC. It was founded by John Tanton. It was founded as part of his eugenics empire. Why the heck is an organization that is founded and still controlled by John Tanton, one of the top supporters of Planned Parenthood, anywhere near CPAC?
Another board member of Pro English, Dr. Cliff Colwell is a MAJOR donor to Planned Parenthood.
Regular readers know that The Pink Flamingo thinks that CPAC jumped the shark a couple years ago. Want proof? Peter Brimelow, editor and founder of VDARE is now a speaker, along with John Derbyshire. Derbyshire is bad enough, but WHAT ARE THEY THINKING? Last year it was the John Birch society. This is far worse. They refuse to denounce Brimelow.
“…”CPAC is proud to have more than 150 sponsors and exhibitors this year,” said spokeswoman Kristy Campbell in an email. “This panel was not organized by the ACU, and specific questions on the event, content or speakers should be directed to the sponsoring organization. Cosponsors and affiliated events do not necessarily represent the opinions of the American Conservative Union.”….”
If Peter Brimelow isn’t bad enough, Robert Vandervoort, director of Pro English was associated with the racist, white supremacist CofCC (sister organization to Stormfront) and organized Friends of American Renaissance, another white supremacist organization.
He is an associate of Jared Taylor.
“…By the way both Jared Taylor, editor of the American Renaissance, and Pat Buchanan were interviewed on MSNBC’s Scarborough Country this week about immigration. They were both introduced without any qualifiers indicated they are “mean” and “racist” so that’s progress. It was a very lively debate (they had a Muslim and Hispanic Nationalist on to counter them). The full transcript can be read here: http://www.msnbc.com/news/992620.asp Now if only the O’Reilly Factor would get the idea to book Jared Taylor…

“…As Mr. Auster notes, the show was a refreshing break from the PC orthodoxy when it comes to discussions of race, immigration, and civilization. And certainly Donahue should be congratulated for bringing Jared Taylor back to the show. Let us hope that this opens things up more to candid racial debates in the future. I think, however, that it was terribly unfair for Donahue to take Jared Taylor’s American Renaissance quotes out of context. Without elaborating, it had the effect of making him appear more “harsh and forbidding” (in Mr. Auster words) than I think his journal is. I liked his rejoinder to Phil about how his ancestors weren’t simply “immigrants” but pioneers. Taylor was also able to add a great dash of humor to the debate at times, and remarkably Donahue let him close with some thoughtful last words.

“..While CPAC gave the boot to the gay conservative group GOProud “because of their behavior and attitude,” apparently running a website dedicated to promoting white nationalism is just fine.
As Romney, Santorum, Gingrich and other Republican leaders like Speaker John Boehner and Leader McConnell are scheduled to appear at CPAC, do they have any problem speaking at a conference which is giving a platform to birthers, apartheid apologists and white nationalists?
UPDATE: In a statement, People For the American Way President Michael Keegan called on Romney, Santorum and Gingrich to “speak out” against Brimelow’s agenda, adding “It’s shocking that the CPAC would provide a platform for someone like Brimelow.”…”
It makes CPAC and the GOP look very very bad.
“…I admit, this one kind of shocks me, and it’s not easy to do that any more. I knew the right wing had gone bug-eyed loony, but this is way beyond the usual xenophobia and paranoid bigotry; this is open white nationalism at the Republican right’s premier high-profile conference, in an election year. Stunning. Masks are dropping all over Wingnutland….”
If you don’t think this IS NOT going to hurt the GOP this November, you are following right along that yellow brick road into lala land. This is what makes the GOP look bad. It’s too bad NO ONE has the courage to stand up and say that this is wrong and these people are white supremacists. Until someone in the GOP gets a bit of backbone and can start standing up for what is right and speaking out against what is wrong, we’re screwed.
