There have been rumors for months that something very nasty is going on in the GOP. While The Pink Flamingo is not going to accuse the Romney team for these alleged nasty alleged incidents, there is beginning to be a pattern here. Over the past few years, the Ron Paul people have been quietly taking over the GOP, precinct by precinct to the county and state level. They are anal, dotting every “i” and crossing every “t”, playing the game by the rules.
Evidently, and allegedly, the Romney people don’t really allegedly give a damn about allegedly playing by the alleged rules. There are horror stories from numerous state conventions of draconian rules, punches being thrown, and people who have no business being disqualified, allegedly being allegedly disqualified by state party officials who allegedly are playing dirty ball, allegedly with the RNC and with the Romney people.
“...But earlier this month, Kenney was one of 17 delegates and alternates disqualified by a Republican committee deciding who gets to represent Massachusetts Republicans at the national convention in Tampa. Kenney and others had failed to deliver in time an affidavit swearing, under the penalty of perjury, that they would support Mitt Romney’s nomination for president….An affidavit is never mentioned in the Republican Party’s rules for selecting delegates and has never been required of delegates in the past, GOP critics say. Suspicions are steep this year because Kenney and the others are supporters of Ron Paul, the libertarian candidate whose quixotic campaign for president culminated in an effort to take over state caucuses nationwide. The delegates must vote for Romney, based on his strong primary win in Massachusetts, but Paul’s supporters hope to use the convention to draw attention to his agenda, including auditing the Federal Reserve and requiring wars to be declared by Congress.
In Massachusetts, Paul’s Liberty Slate swept the Republican caucuses in April, stealing delegate spots that were expected to go to Romney’s friends and allies, whom he had selected. Massachusetts, a state dominated by Democrats and typically marginalized at national Republican events, could have an unusual share of the limelight at this year’s convention, since its former governor is the party’s expected presidential nominee….“
Don’t get The Pink Flamingo wrong, I still think the average Ron Paul supporter is bat shit crazy, but, when they are getting the shaft, allegedly illegally by the RNC, who is propping up Mitt Romney, then it is time to take note.
This really bugs me, because, unfortunately, most of this, allegedly is allegedly what The Pink Flamingo has been hearing from numerous sources.
“…Most supporters of presidential candidate Ron Paul believe this Republican primary season has been marred by countless examples of GOP corruption. The vast majority of Paul’s supporters would like to see the unethical behavior exposed by the mainstream press and action taken against the perpetrators of the alleged infractions even if the exposure hurts the Republican Party. Furthermore, many in the Ron Paul Nation believe the professional Paul campaign and Congressman Paul himself have not been aggressive enough in going after GOP abuses of power. Therefore, they may take matters into their own hands.
For Congressman Paul’s supporters this is a matter of principle over party. They believe powerful forces should not be able to cheat less powerful forces to get what they want. If it could be proven that Romney and or GOP forces have engaged in unscrupulous electioneering, then, according to many of Congressman Paul’s supporters, there should be serious penalties, including potentially the disqualification of the candidate(s) connected to the behavior and firing the subordinates involved. If it could be proven that there were laws broken, then the lawbreakers should be brought to justice even if they are fellow Republicans….”
“…Lawyers for Ron Paul is attempting to gain some semblance of order in the 2012 GOP election cycle by filing a civil rights lawsuit against various state GOP parties and the Republican National Committee for voting rights violations and election fraud committed during the 2012 Republican Presidential primary election phase.
Stating their obvious need for legal and physical protection against the establishment and its minions in Sunday’s public press release, Tools for Justice at ElectionFraudRemedy.com joined LRP in filing suit, due to the existence of “overwhelming evidence” that the voting rights of Ron Paul Republican delegates and other voters have been violated by “nearly every state GOP party and the RNC during the 2012 primary election phase, with utter and blatant disregard for any rule of law.”…”
We all know The Pink Flamingo would rather be forced to pay for another root canal and crown than agree that something (allegedly) nasty is going on here. If it were one state, and one convention, it could easily be swept under the rug. The problem is, it is not limited to just one state.
Courthouse News is not a Ron Paul site. It is a news service based on civil litigation.
This is happening, repeatedly, throughout the country. We all know Ron Paul followers (Bots) are difficult to deal with, annoying and generally a pain in the tushie. BUT – they are mirroring what The Pink Flamingo has been hearing from around the country.
Allegedly, Mitt Romney’s associates have embarked on a path of harassment, intimidation, and outright threats. The Pink Flamingo even knows of restraining orders placed upon alleged Romney supporters. I suppose, if I had not been the target of treats and intimidation by alleged Romney supporters, I might not be paying as much attention to it.
In a way, the irony is delicious. We’ve all complained about Ron Paul’s allegedly out of control supporters more than once. It looks like they’ve been hoisted on their own petard by an organization that is even more out of control than their own.
One wonders how long the RNC will allow the situation to continue. If the alleged reports The Pink Flamingo has allegedly heard out of various states, don’t go holding your breath. The RNC is in the tank for Mitt Romney, all the way.
One only needs to look at what happened in Florida to realize that there is nothing honest or honorable about this current primary cycle. I only hope that, one day, the fraud is revealed. The Pink Flamingo is quite certain, if Romney had been held to account, and forced to play by what were once the rules, Newt Gingrich would be our nominee.
But, we must remember, what Mitt Romney want, Mitt Romney gets, no matter who or what he destroys.
