“Racist” Obama Tape Proves He Is a Christian

First things first.  When dealing with politics, always look for an ulterior motive. When a group of partisans band together to put out something they think is damaging for the other guy, we gotta ask ourselves, do we feel lucky, punk?

Well…

An extremely damning tape of Paul Ryan has surfaced. It’s just as bad as the 47% solution.  It’s rough.  Once again, if you think it through, it is quite obvious Romney-Ryan consider vets, the VA, our military pensions to be for moochers.

“…Today, 70 percent of Americans get more benefits from the federal government in dollar value than they pay back in taxes,” Ryan said. “So you could argue that we’re already past that [moral] tipping point. The good news is survey after survey, poll after poll, still shows that we are a center-right 70-30 country. Seventy percent of Americans want the American dream. They believe in the American idea. Only 30 percent want their welfare state. What that tells us is at least half of those people who are currently in that category are there not of their wish or their will.”

The other half, by implication, are there because they want to be. For Romney, there’s nothing that can be done about those types of people. “My job is not to worry about those people,” Romney said in the full clip of the fundraiser, obtained by Mother Jones. . “I’ll never convince them they should take personal responsibility and care for their lives.”…”

Just as damning is this comment from the WPost.

The real news here is something The Pink Flamingo has been saying for months – once I opened my eyes.  In the much heralded “racist” speech Barack Obama gave on June 5, 2007, the man gives quite a testimony.  If nothing else, this disproves, for once and for all, the lies about him being Muslim.  Evidently, not long after Barack Obama arrived in Chicago, he met Jeremiah Wright, who introduced him to Christ.

That explains Obama’s relationship with Wright.  Anyone who had an experience with Christ, because someone asked, was there, will always have a special place in their heart for the person who ‘led them to the Lord’. I feel the same way about Al Worthington.

When I was a kid, I loved baseball.  All I ever wanted to do was just to meet one Major League Baseball Player.  The family was having Sunday dinner one day out at Stone Mountain, Georgia.  You know how kids and baseball players are.  I picked him out, was thrilled.  For the first time in my life, I was actually looking at the real thing!  I followed him into the gift shop, and introduced myself.  I told him I had waited my whole life (I was maybe 11 or so – big deal) to meet a Major Leaguer.

The first thing he asked was if I knew Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior.  I said I did.  It was the first time I ever made such an admission.  He blessed me.  He gave me one of his tracts and signed it.  I still have it in my Bible.

That is the importance of the relationship between Barack Obama and Jeremiah Wright.  I did not realize it until Matt Drudge, Sean Hannity, and the Daily Caller had to make asses of themselves. Now I understand.  Anyone on the right who claims to be a Christian, and denounces Obama for his relationship with Wright, has never had such a life-changing experience with Christ.  I would almost question just what they did believe.  I would question their sincerity as a Christian.  Anyone who truly believes, knows that Christ comes before country and political party.

“…We all know that our faith will be tested and challenged. It happens to each and every one of us. As some of you know, during the 2004 U.S. Senate General Election I ran against a gentleman named Alan Keyes. Mr. Keyes is well-versed in the Pat Robertson style of rhetoric that often labels progressives as both immoral and godless.

Indeed, Mr. Keyes announced toward the end of the campaign that, “Jesus Christ would not vote for Barack Obama. Christ would not vote for Barack Obama because Barack Obama has behaved in a way that it is inconceivable for Christ to have behaved.” Jesus Christ would not vote for Barack Obama.

It nagged at me in that campaign because I did not respond with the full force of what I found that Sunday morning at Trinity United Church of Christ: that our faith can never be used as a driving force to divide us. That with a big God, with a loving and forceful God we need to unite in His name to finish His work on earth.

It reminds me of a simple truth: a truth I learned all those years ago as an organizer in Chicago—a truth you speak of in your churches every Sunday. In the face of impossible odds, people who love their country can change it. With a uniting faith, with a God powerful enough to empower us—we can take the bullets out….

America is going to survive. We won’t forget where we came from. We won’t forget what happened 19 months ago, 15 years ago, thousands of years ago. We know who the head surgeon is, and we’re on the case. We’re going to pull out bullet after bullet. We’re going to stitch up arm after arm. We’re going to wear those scars for justice. We’re going to usher in a new America the way that newborn child was ushered in.

We’re never going to forget there is always hope — there is always light in the midst of desperate days — that a baby can be born even with a bullet in her arm. And we can come together as one people and transform this nation. Our God is big enough for that….”

I guess the real problem is The Pink Flamingo believes this stuff.  I believe this way.  It takes one to know one, and I know a person who has had an experience with the Lord.  I am rejoicing!

Sun Times

Yep, Drudge, Hannity, and the Daily Caller outed Barack Obama as a BORN AGAIN CHRISTIAN!  The speech was covered on FOX in 2007, oh the pain!  Then, Sean Hannity admitted that Obama was the only Protestant in the race.

So, there we have it.

According to FOX News, Barack Obama is NOT a Muslim, never has been, but is a born again Christian.  Just think, if he were white, the evangelicals would love him!  I don’t know about you, but The Pink Flamingo loves it when the far right makes fools of themselves.

I guess, if you are one of those “Christian” conservatives who simply must vote for a real life Christian, and a Protestant one at that, well, it looks like Barack Obama is your only choice.  Paul Ryan is on the slippery slope to excommunication for his love affair with Rand, who denounced Christ.  Mitt Romney is a member of the Mormon cult.  Joe Biden is a good Catholic.  BUT… Barack Obama is Protestant and in full ecumenical communion with the world wide Anglican communion, including the ECUSA.

–And they say the Good Lord doesn’t have a sense of humor.

Yep, the great irony is that the Democratic ticket is the REAL Christian ticket.  You gotta love it!

Seriously, what is truly disgusting is the way the far right “Christians” are reacting.  I have a very difficult time referring to these people as Christians.  They aren’t acting like it.  There are some bitter ironies here.  They think that, because Obama’s party plank includes abortion rights, that Obama is NOT a Christian.  They think that he is going to hell because of it.

They don’t mind a bit that Mitt Romney lies every time he opens his mouth.  I will admit to having difficulties with people who call themselves “Christian” and don’t know the Ten Commandments and just what is considered a “sin”.  When they consider lying to be acceptable, and not a sin, you begin to wonder just what denomination these alleged “Christians” are.  It must be one that doesn’t have the thou shalt not lie in their Nine Commandments. No wonder these people wanted Judge Roy Moore to force copies of the Ten Commandments to be put up – everywhere.  They don’t even know that Thou Shalt Not Do The False Witness Thingie is you don’t lie – it’s a sin!  It’s one of the Top Ten.   Either you repent or you do the time.

When someone presents themselves as a “Christian” and cannot rejoice over a man’s salvation, even a political enemy, they are sorely lacking in something.  When these same people have no problem with another person and their lies, I truly question what they really believe.

We cannot take their salvation for granted.   They certainly are not acting like they have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

  1. I am not one to evaluate Obama’s Christianity nor anyone else’s for that matter. That is between an individual and God. Everybody is howling that the Obama tape is racist, but take a few moments to think about a few facts from someone who lived through Katrina. Basically, what Obama is saying is true. The storm came through on Monday morning. It was Thursday before we got any help down here. It was about noon on Thursday before government help came with ice, water and MREs. Have you ever seen people so thirsty they were drinking water from mud puddles on the street? I saw this after Katrina. It was blazing hot. Everyone was wondering why we didn’t get help. The first time since the storm that I saw ice and water was when a truck came through our neighborhood Thursday morning. It wasn’t from the government. It was individuals from Marietta, Georgia, who loaded up a truck with ice, water, canned goods, baby food and diapers. Not too far behind was the Salvation Army. Red Cross was not a help. They offered relief only to the people who had entered shelters before the storm. Many people were desperate. Everybody wondered why help from the Government did not come. White people assumed it was because they were southerners and naturally black people assumed it was because they were black. Since the majority of people down here are black what else were they to think? If people think this is racist so be it.

  2. Couldn’t believe what happened in New Orleans — it was so wrong an happy to read here what someone had to say that was there. Drove through that area six months after Katrina and saw how far behind they were compared to what was happing in MS and AL in their coastal areas. Wondered then if it was because these were poor and black. Looks like my question was answered.
