Picture 8Several things are going on with the far right.  First, they are out of their minds.  Second, it is obvious they don’t give a rip about the Constitution.  This isn’t really about guns.  It is about the far right GOP having a temper tantrum because their crap candidate, Mitt Romney went down with only 47% of the vote.  The only reason they retained control of the house was via gerrymandering.  The only reason the GOP is in trouble is because of people like Mitt Romney, the extreme right, the manipulation of the Kochs, and the idiots who constantly do and believe what they are told.

It is about racism, and it’s not about the racism.  It’s not really about guns.  It’s about more of the same, of the far right manipulators making money off the well meaning conservative faithful who are prepped in the morning with FOX and Friends, then listen to Laura, Rush, Sean, Mark, Glenn, and back to FOX for the evening.  What’s a well-washed brain to do other than fall off the cliff with the other lemmings?

Then NRA has a new ad criticizing Obama for having Secret Service protection for his children.  Rand Paul says he’s acting like an Imperial Presidency, or a King with executive orders.  Ed Meese says Obama can be impeached over guns.

It’s the racism, stupid.  Repeatedly.

“…The conservative columnist on Monday told Fox News host Sean Hannity that the country had a “demographic problem” because “white populations” in the U.S. and Belgium had the same low murder rate. “As you know, I just got back from England,” Coulter explained. “On the gun crimes, we keep hearing how low they are in Europe and, ‘Oh, they’re so low and they have no guns.’ If you compare white populations, we have the same murder rate as Belgium.” “So, perhaps, it’s not a gun problem, it is a demographic problem, which liberals are the one are pushing, pushing, pushing, ‘Let’s add more [African-American mass murderer] Colin Fergusons and more whoever the [Muslim] guy was who shot up Fort Hood.’ Why are they coming in to begin with?”…”

During the past two months, brainwashed Americans, terrified that Barack Obama was a comin’ for their guns have bought or applied to purchase nearly five million guns.  This is insane.  To compensate for the insanity, TX GOP Congressman Steve Stockman wants to impeach Obama – because of what he might do to control guns.  It doesn’t help that FOX continues to lie about what is going on with guns.

“…Fox Business host Lou Dobbs pushed the extreme conspiracy theory that President Obama wants to destroy the Second Amendment as a first step in eliminating the entire Bill of Rights. But Obama has consistently voiced his support for the Second Amendment, including during the Monday press conference that Dobbs referenced on his show.

During his program, Dobbs aired a partial clip of Obama saying at the press conference, “The issue here is not whether or not we believe in the Second Amendment. The issue is: Are there some sensible steps that we can take to make sure that somebody like the individual in Newtown can’t walk into a school — “

Dobbs responded by claiming that Obama is “so committed to constraining or dismissing outright our Second Amendment rights, it makes you wonder why he’s not ridding the Constitution of the First Amendment as well.” He later said, “You’ve got to wonder why the president doesn’t double down in his assault on the Constitution, taking on not only the Second, but the First Amendment, the Fourth, the Fourteenth.” Dobbs then suggested that the reason Obama has “begun with the Second Amendment” is because “[w]ithout our rights under the Second Amendment, removing the rest of our Bill of Rights would be a lot easier.”…”

It has become a feeding frenzy out there.  Larry Pratt has now turned on Justice Scalia, who said that the government has a right to place limits on the 2nd Amendment.  According to Pratt, Scalia was not speaking from the prospective of the Constitution.  The Pink Flamingo puts Pratt up there with the scary freaks.  He’s basically a white supremacist, goose-stepper.

“...But in a 2008 opinion that struck down Washington D.C.’s handgun ban, Justice Antonin Scalia suggested the Second Amendment shouldn’t stop the U.S. from barring certain weapons.

Scalia, a strict interpreter of the Constitution, said there’s an “important limitation” on the right to bear arms. “We think that limitation is fairly supported by the historical tradition of prohibiting the carrying of ‘dangerous and unusual weapons’,” Scalia wrote, in an opinion first cited by UPI over the weekend.

Scalia reiterated that sentiment in July of this year when he told Fox News Sunday that the Second Amendment leaves room for federal gun control legislation.
The conservative justice’s views on gun control could come into play if the high court decides to review an appeals court’s decision that citizens have a right to walk around with concealed weapons.

Larry Ward, who is the scam artist behind Gun Appreciation Day says they are not extremists.  This is the same genius who said that, if blacks had had guns, there would have been no slavery.   The Pink Flamingo calls Ward a scam artist, because he’s a protege of Dick MorrisNeed I say moreHe’s also on the board of the Social Security Institute.

The NRA is a scam.   David Keene, president of the NRA, says that people are buying guns because they’re afraid of Barack Obama.  Translation:  The NRA is promoting racism by telling people to be afraid of a POTUS who isn’t white.

Right now, we’re dealing with three groups of people.

  1. Honest people who are brainwashed by #2 & #3
  2. The Scam Artists – FOX, NRA, organizations
  3. The Scary Freaks – Chuck Baldwin,

There are a bunch of gun freaks who are going to build a 2000 acre compound in Idaho.  When The Pink Flamingo sees the word, “Patriot” I cringe, knowing what is to come. They want to live like Thomas Jefferson envisioned.  I guess that includes wife swapping, sleeping with every woman in the compound, slavery, buying and selling humans, and rewriting the Bible to suit their needs.

Chuck Baldwin is, in The Pink Flamingo’s humble opinion, a traitor.  Having jumped the shark, he’s moved his family to a compound in Montana, to be part of the American Redoubt.   It is a movement founded by survivalist author, James Wesley Rawles.  Rawles considers Ayn Rand a great influence on his work.

In Wyoming, the nut lawmakers want to tamper with gun laws and be able to allow the feds to be arrested. The thing is, once upon a time, the whole NRA thing was about gun control and responsible gun ownership.

The Pink Flamingo thinks this little passage from Chuck Baldwin’s call for revolution says it all…!

“...Instead of considering 18 USC § 2384 as it was written to be applied, gun and free speech activists cite the Constitution’s framers and their intention in the First Amendment, or what the Founders considered sedition, and claim (again) that the rules of free speech supersede making overt threats against the government. According to the Sedition Act (An act for the punishment of certain crimes against the United States), the definition of sedition is “To write, print, utter or publish, or cause it to be done, or assist in it, any false, scandalous, and malicious writing against the government of the United States, or either House of Congress, or the President, with intent to defame, or bring either into contempt or disrepute, or to excite against either the hatred of the people of the United States, or to stir up sedition, or to excite unlawful combinations against the government, or to resist it” (Section I). The Sedition Act was approved July 14, 1798 and signed by President John Adams; the most recent case of “seditious conspiracy” was March 2010.

The recent threat by a gun-fanatic that he would “start shooting people” if the government went “one inch further” to enact gun registration laws, assault weapons ban, or even discussing such controls released another video ramping up his seditious speech. The fanatic, James Yeager, CEO of Tactical Response, reiterated his “call to action” to other gun-fanatics and boasted that the myriad calls, emails, and texts asking him to tell them “when and where” to take action emboldened him, and that he inadvertently assembled “a quite formidable army.” Yeager’s message to other gun-fanatics was that “it was time to get ready and to start practicing, talking to like-minded friends, and start coordinating at the local level because he has drawn a line in the sand and will not tolerate “one more inch.” Remember, that any utterance, writing, or cause against the government of the United States is sedition, and it applies to gun fanatics, former and current members of Congress, state Republican officials, and state-based gun advocacy organizations who threatened in a letter to President Obama that new safety measures could foment the next American revolution.

What one finds interesting is that none of the so-called leaders of the Republican Party, conservative pundits, national neo-conservative news organizations, or National Rifle Association have made any attempts to tamp down the seditious rhetoric inciting civil war, revolution, or violent action against the government over legally enacted laws such as the Affordable Care Act or discussions about gun safety measures. It is not that they advocate for violence or a new American revolution, but they do encourage opposition to this President and any agenda not originating from neo-conservatives at any cost; even sedition….”

Would we even be hearing about any of this as an issue if it weren’t for FOX Tabloid News pushing the envelope for ratings?  FOX is doing the same thing with gun control as they did with the Tea Parties.  We all know how well those went over.  They destroyed the GOP.

We’re dealing with a group of corrupt individuals who will do anything for money.  They are using and manipulating good, and honest men and women, playing their fears of the future, fears that are nurtured in what they read, watch, listen to, and receive on line.  When you are assaulted, 24/7 constantly, you lose your grip on reality.  Soon, you start to believe the rhetoric, that anyone who disagrees with you is a Marxist, commie, and hates America.  The well intentioned so-called patriot soon finds himself/herself in bed with the worst this society has to offer.

This is so not about gun control.

It is all about a good people who can no longer tell fact from fiction. The Pink Flamingo will admit that I was once one of the faithful.  Then my eyes were opened.  I have reached the point where the only reason I am remaining a Republican is to make their lives a living hell. Since opening my eyes, I’ve learned that the nastiest people, by far, in this country are conservatives.  I truly hope and pray I was not like what I now see them to be.  They blather on and on about freedom of speech – but only for them.  No one else is allowed to have it.

I falsely believed that liberals were nasty, insulting people.  I’ve discovered some of the nicest, most reasonable people online are liberal, and the most frightening are the far right.  And, in the past six weeks, The Pink Flamingo has had two death threats from good, ‘Christian’, gun carrying patriots.

The worst part about all of the far right money-making lies is the fact that there are people who believe it.  There are some stupid people in this country who believe we are on the brink of a revolution.  They believe this crap about limits to freedom, confiscation of guns, and the need to get out there and start preparing for a coming war. I’m a heck of a lot more frightened of these people, and their storage units full of guns & ammo than I am a dingbat from Code Pink.  They’re not going to kill you.  The gun freak will.

I was shocked, the other day, to read that libertarian commentator Neal Bortz said that, while people had a right to carry guns, he had a right not to be shot by those guns.  I agree. I also a right not to be threatened into submission via gun violence because I think these people are out of their minds.

As for guns, no problem.  I think that no one should have more fire-power than the cops.  I think that no one needs a mega gun that fires a million rounds of armor piercing bullets a nano-second.  As for arming teachers – if, when I was a kid, the principal who molested me had been armed, I’d never have reached my tenth birthday.

Someone needs to give the well meaning, but brainwashed talk show, FOX watching members of the far right some sort of mental enema, cleaning out their heads, washing away all that foul crap that that is filling them. Enough is enough.

  1. Barack Obama is not a Muslim, he is a Christian
  2. Barack Obama was born in the USA
  3. Barack Obama did not steal the election
  4. The vote fraud was on the side of the GOP
  5. Mitt Romney tried to steal the election
  6. Barack Obama is not a communist, marxist, or even that liberal
  7. Barack Obama is what we would call an Eisenhower Republican
  8. The Koch Brothers’ father thought Ike was a commie
  9. The John Birch Society is connected with far right, white supremacists
  10. No one is trying to take all your guns
  11. Rush Limbaugh is PAID to brainwash you, by the Koch Brothers
  12. Coke snortin’ Glenn Beck is paid by the Koch Brothers to brainwash the faithful
  13. Anyone talking revolution is talking sedition
  14. Don’t even try to call yourself a patriot if you are trash talking the country
  15. Joe Biden is far from an idiot.
  16. Paul Ryan is a scum sucking liar who apparently likes rapists more than women
  17. The GOP has a real women issue
  18. The GOP has turned nasty racist
  19. Ann Coulter is a racist
  20. Sean Hannity’s best friend is a ne0-Nazi who has recently been released from prison

Life sucks, deal with it.  There is no Agenda 21. The UN is not trying to take over the US.  Chuck Baldwin who is spouting revolution is associated with a bunch of white supremacists.  The ‘Christian’ Right was built out of a mailing list from KKK leader David Duke.

According to Justice Scalia there can be limits on the 2nd Amendment.

The 1st Amendment applies to everyone, not just the far right Rush Limbaugh, FOX Tabloid News watching brainwashed patriots.

If you, dear conservative loon, think that only conservatives love their country, you are a bigger fool than I thought you were. I don’t think anyone who even breathes “revolution” because they LOST an election should even be considered a patriot. I consider them traitors.

It’s also about Roger Ailes trying to improve ratings for a network that is starting to fall from grace. You can fool some of the people some of the time, but you can’t fool all of the people all of the time.

It’s the ratings, stupid!

So what if the country is damaged, careers are destroyed, reputations ruined, and some stupid irrational fool believes the sh*t he is being told and starts killing people?

It’s about ratings.

So Obama wants a complete background check for gun ownership. I wonder if he will require a picture ID. This was such a no no for voting when he was running for re-election. Also, his attorney general needs to answer some questions about Fast and Furious before he enforces gun control laws. ….Justice Scalia said there can be limits on the 2nd Amendment, but more constitutional issues are involved. Under the Constitution, the Federal Government can regulate Interstate Commerce, but not Intrastate Commerce. That could protect state gun manufacturers from federal regulation as long as firearms remain in the state. Also, the 10th Amendment could override Obama’s executive orders. It is going to be sticky….You are right when you listed in number 15 that Joe Biden is far from an idiot. The man is a complete imbecile.

  • unknown jane says:

Jose Maria, correct you are. And if this was about actual consitutionality, the GOP could nail him and his party.

Unfortunately, we seem not to have statesmen/women interested in upholding the Constitution so much as a bunch of demogogues — ditto for the “journalists”. Nobody is interested in the truth or in serving the country, or looking out for the welfare of its people — nobody really cares about the Constitution, other than to cherry pick it and then toss it on the garbage heap (sort of what they’ve done to the teachings of Christ if you ask me).

And by nobody: nobody who has any sort of power position, or so it seems (if they are out there, it is in the minority), and of the little people, too many have been deluded on both sides (hopefully they wake up and soon).

  • jose maria says:

I guess I am just as disillusioned as a Democrat as some people on this blog are with the GOP.(I watch the C-Span channels on the House and Senate) There are still some good people in both parties representing us, but as Unknown Jane says, there are fewer and fewer real statesmen. Both political parties are promoting their own agendas and can’t come up with any common sense laws to curb gun violence. I don’t like guns, don’t own a gun, don’t want a gun. To me there is only one purpose for a gun and that is to kill, whether it is animals or people. But in my opinion it doesn’t make much sense to ban assault weapons, when the majority of gun violence is committed with hand guns. People have a constitutional right to own a gun, but I haven’t heard anything about stiffer sentences for gun crimes, nor has there been any limits on video games and movies advocating violence. What does the administration really want to curb- violence or the 2nd Amendment? It is also interesting that the pro-life movement has been silent on this issue. Pro-life extends beyond abortion to euthanasia, capital punishment and violence. It is all killing. If the political parties can’t come up with any new laws that make sense, they could at least enforce the laws already on the books.

  • SJ Reidhead says:

I just think we should not have guns on the street that are more powerful than what a cop has, or what soldiers use. If a person wants to own an assault gun, and hang out at a rifle range, fine. We’ve got to have some cooler heads in all of this. My complaint is the irrational way the right is acting. I don’t care if the left is irrational. I expect that. But, I’m sick of the idiots of the far right – loons!

There’s a bill here in NM that is a good bill. I like it. It would prevent so many problems.
