Very few people – ever, have the opportunity to shape the future, with their vision. It wasn’t even really a vision, just an idea for a science fiction series. It was an idea by a man who loved science, the military, was a cop, a writer, involved in civil rights, and was something of a student of the political scene.
Boy did he have a vision.
His dream basically channeled my entire life, in a very good way. Fortunately, I’m not the only one. We’re now into three generations of men and women who discovered the dream, and decided to run with it. Now, the dream has been rendered as a possible version of what a faster than light – a warp ship, might be – from a NASA physicist.
Yep, I’m loving it. I suspect The Great Bird of the Galaxy is also enjoying it.
Problem is, where’s Zefram Cochrane when you need him?
Is this the future? Notice the resemblance to anything? Might we assume that physicist Harold White might be a closet Trekkie? Now, to get the darn thing to work!
