Little F-Bomb Princesses

Screen shot 2014-10-25 at 1.12.56 PMBy now you’ve probably seen the video featuring four or five little girls, maybe six or seven years old, using the “F” word to discuss feminism.  Evidently many people are talking about it,  and that’s the point.  It was produced to deflect attention from an extremely sexist agenda.  In doing so, some rather cute little girls were exploited almost to the point of abuse.  Quite frankly, I find requiring children to use a word that should not be used in polite company is disgusting.  It is abusive.  It raises the question about what sort of parent would allow their child do take part in something like that.

If I had kids who were in school with these little girls, I would raise you-know-what.  Because, quite frankly, I would not want my child exposed to something like this.  You know the children are going to be using that word, time and again, after being taught to use it in a video.  Of course, any parent who allowed their child to use such a word probably already uses it in front of them, in the first place.  I would not want my child near these kids.  Children have a right to innocence, and a right not to be exposed to filth.  I consider the “F” word to be pure filth.

If I were a parent, I would rather my child be allowed to be innocent as long as possible.  I know, in this crazy mixed-up world of ours, innocence is something to be destroyed, but I’m tired of that philosophy.  We have a responsibility to protect the ‘purity’ that child like wonder, the uncluttered mind, as long as possible.

What is wrong with letting a child be a child as long as possible?
