In many ways, Barack Obama is his own worst enemy when it comes to working with Congress. He’s basically thumbed his nose at them when it comes to immigration reform and Cuba – recently. Who can blame him? The Republicans in Congress treat him like dirt, taking their talking points from an increasingly out of control Rush Limbaugh and Fox News. Now, it’s worse. John Boehner is proving what a nasty jerk he can be, when he and Bibi Netanyahu decided to create what is truly one of the worst diplomatic snubs I’ve seen in my lifetime. Instead of alerting the White House that he was planning to visit the US, the PM of Israel contacted the Speaker of the House.
Someone from the Obama Administration recently referred to the Israeli PM as ‘chickenshit’. They’ve also been off record as stating that Bibi was inflated with his own self-interest – which he is. It should also be noted that he’s up for re-election on March 17, and the polls are quite close. I do wonder why the far right in Israel is lying about Obama.
In many ways, it’s quite simple. They hate him, and are connected to the far right in this country. Still – you don’t do what they’re doing, right now.
I don’t think so:
“…The remarks follow reports of a sharp decline in US-Israel relations, after an explosive report in Yedioth Aharonot last week that the US Consulate in Jerusalem views itself not as “the US Consulate in Israel,” but rather the “US Consulate in Palestine,” and has been slowly replacing its Israeli security guards with Palestinian Arabs who may have criminal records – all in flagrant violation of Israeli law. In addition, several weeks ago, Consulate officials entered the Samaria community of Adei Ad with guards armed with M-16s without permission – and nearly caused an international incident….”
The far right, even in Israel lies. I don’t think they can help it?
There’s nothing wrong with disliking the POTUS, but when that dislike becomes a serious disorder, which is harmful to the country, someone needs to get a grip. If not, we’re going to have one heck of a worse mess than we already have.
