Foreign Policy by Spite?

The problem is the fact that we are dealing with some of Jimmy Carter’s foreign policy team, including the worst of the very worst: Zbigniew Brzezinski.

“…Chancellor Merkel was explicit in her response when she told Senator Corker that the simmering crisis in Ukraine could not be resolved by military means and the US approach would go nowhere and make the situation in Ukraine much worse. When Merkel was pressed on militarizing the conflict in Ukraine by the British MP Malcolm Rifkind, the chair of the Intelligence and Security Committee of the British Parliament, she said that sending more arms to Kiev was useless and unrealistic. Merkel told the British MP “to look reality in the eye.” The German Chancellor also pointed out that there cannot be security in Europe without Russia….”

I’m not a fan of Bibi Netanyahu.  I think he is a slick, corrupt, narcissist who, like his bud Mitt Romney, would sell his soul for an electoral win. I find the fact that they are now controlled by the new political king maker, Sheldon Adelson, distasteful.  But – the thought of turning against Israel – out of spite is disgusting.  What Bibi and Adelson did in addressing Congress, was a gross insult to the United States and our Constitution.  It was horribly insulting to the President, and was intended as an insult.  The fact that John Boehner even allowed it to happen was deplorable – but predictable.  They’re owned as much by Sheldon Adelson as Charles & David Koch.

“…It remains unclear how far the White House is willing to go to punish Netanyahu for his campaign, which included a controversial address to Congress that dozens of Democrats boycotted.

The White House has hewed to a tough line, stating repeatedly that the U.S-Israel relationship might be altered by Netanyahu’s remark about a two-state solution.

“I think they’re trying to send a very specific and tough message to Prime Minister Netanyahu, which is, ‘We’ve paid attention to the words you’ve used during the campaign and if they are in fact going to be your policy, they will have an impact on our relationship,’” said Daniel Kurtzer, a former U.S. ambassador to Israel under George W. Bush who is now a professor of Middle Eastern policy studies at Princeton University.

“It’s a shot across the bow,” added Kurtzer, who said the White House’s warnings “should be taken quite seriously.”..”

I think Bibi Netanyahu is a horrible person who does not have Israel’s best interest at heart.  But, I also think the Israeli voters acted just the way I would have reacted if a foreign interest tried meddling in my country.  I would have voted against them – out of spite.  Bibi is no different from any far right Republican politician in this country. His resume reads like Scott Walker, Susana Martinez, or any other Koch whore in this country.

According to General Petraeus, Iran is  not our ally, not in the least.

In Europe, they are starting to question our foreign policy.  Even France is now concerned about the Iran nuclear deal.  We have a serious problem with an Administration which has created one foreign policy disaster after another.  According to General Petraeus, much of the damage in Iraq, now, happened because of bad decisions made in 2011.

The Obama Administration, under the care of that great incompetent Secretary of State, John Kerry, has made such a debacle of things that, in Europe, there is now viable discussion about dumping NATO all together and forming an all-Europe military – which would not be treating Russia like the enemy.   We have a serious problem here.   Barack Obama does not like Vladimir Putin, and now Russia is the new world’s worst – ever.  I don’t like writing this.  I voted for Obama I like him.  I am also heart-broken as I watch him squander what should have been one of the most historic presidencies, ever.

  1. John Kerry may have made a debacle of things but at least he hasn’t gotten an American ambassador killed yet. That’s what happened with the last incompetent Secretary of State.
