The letter is intended to persuade the guardians of the Capitol that I am not a threat and that shooting me down will be a bigger headache than letting me deliver these letters to Congress,”..”

Doug  Hughes ought to be declared a modern day folk hero.  Instead, he’s probably spend the rest of his life in jail for doing something in which he believed.  While doing it, he exposed a major vulnerability in national security.  For that alone, catching the powers which be with their pants down, he’ll be put under the jail.  For exposing the rank, dripping, and fetid hypocrisy of campaign finance reform, they’ll probably send him to Gitmo and declare him a terrorist.  The 61-year-od mail deliverer and gyro-copter pilot from Ruskin, Florida did what Americans do best.  Like a modern day real-life patriot, he is so concerned about big money buying elections that he literally risked his life to make a difference.  Fortunately, he’s been released on his own recognizance and allowed to return to Tampa.  He must weekly check in with his handlers until he is prosecuted.

Wouldn’t it be weird if this pissed off man managed to start a real ‘tea party’ to demand campaign finance reform.  I suspect Doug Hughes may need to be hailed as a hero, for exposing very serious holes in national security.  People in DC need to lighten up, and maybe see how disparate we are, we the little people, when it comes to being manipulated by billionaires.
