Bernie Sanders & Double Standards

Screen Shot 2015-05-31 at 6.26.14 AMIt looks like this story no longer exists.  That alone is fascinating.

Let’s be honest here.  There is most definitely a double standard with the media.  Not only are we seeing it on a daily basis when it comes to accurate reporting on the way John Kerry is pushing toward World War III in the Ukraine, silencing any voices who oppose the Obama Administration’s insane foreign policy, but it is exhibited elsewhere, constantly.  Idiots in Phoenix are hosting another draw Mohammed cry for national publicity.  OMG, the people doing it are absolute evil.  Frankly, I think they’re stupid.  They also have a Constitutional right to be stupid.  CNN is following every aspect of the story.  But – look how the Bernie Sanders rape fantasy story is being told.

It was a lame attempt at satire.  The left is trying to say this is nothing, but they are going to castigate anyone who is conservative.  Interestingly, the right isn’t really going after him.  After the Dennis Hastart scandal broke on Thursday, they really can’t say much.

After reading the ‘scandalous’ article, well… let’s put it this way.  There’s a reason I think the right is being fairly silent about it.  It reads a hell of a lot like something disgraced super-star pastor, and patriarch Mark Driscoll would write.  It looks to me that Sanders was simply ahead of  his time, when it comes to the patriarchy movement.

Seriously, though, if say, a Ted Cruz or Rand Paul  had written this, not only would he no longer be running for POTUS, they would have already been hounded and terrorized into resigning their Senate seats.  Don’t get me wrong, I would be hilarious, laughing about it, but it seems to me that the same standard should apply.  If Mike Huckabee, Rick Santorum, or Ben Carson had written this, they too, would be kissing their political careers adios.

I think it is terribly revealing.  It shows us a man who is trying to say this is satire, but is concerned about the gender rolls. Instead, we are told how supportive he has been about women. That doesn’t matter.  Let an anti-abortion Republican write the same thing and they are ruined. I really don’t care, either way.  What fascinates me is the abject double standard we are seeing with this tale.  But, because Sanders was a radical, this is exactly what you would expect out of someone in college, right?

To put this in perspective, if it came down to a choice of voting for Bernie or someone like Rand Paul, Ted Cruz, Ben Carson, Marco Rubio, Mike Huckabee, I would proudly vote for Sanders. I’m just saying the double standard on the left is getting to be a little obvious and is going to start hurting them.
