I’ve always been proud of Lindsey, both in Congress and the Senate, but today, I must say that I don’t know when I’ve been as proud of him as I am now. While just about everyone else in the GOP is trying to distance themselves from Caitlyn Jenner, Lindsey has welcomed her into the GOP. Not only that, Lindsey displayed more sensitivity over the situation than I’ve heard from most elected Republican officials. He’s saying what other normal Republicans (who no longer have a home in the GOP) have been saying all along.
Lindsey appears to be the only rational candidate running for POTUS. There’s a good reason for this. He’s a rational man. He’s decent, honorable and honest. I know, in politics, that’s a contradiction in terms, but with Lindsey it is true. He is willing to do something which might be unpopular and cost him votes, if he thinks it is right.
If people would pay attention to his personal narrative they would realize he is more like we the little people than any other candidate. He understands what it is like to be in need, to hurt, to be in debt, and to struggle. He has compassion for the human condition. I know, Republicans aren’t suppose to have any compassion these days, but then again, Lindsey is not today’s version of a Republican, he’s a throwback to a kinder, more gentle age.
