It is rare that I laud a tenor. But, let’s face it, Luciano Pavarotti was one of the greatest, ever. I was fortunate to see him, several times. He was a force, larger than life, and a heck of a lot of fun, on stage, especially his Nemorino. Rarely does an opera super-star become a culture phenomena. He was. The only other person who even comes close is Dmitri Hvorostovsky.
