This Great Koch Madness

Screen Shot 2016-02-14 at 12.11.05 PMRupert Murdoch is donating to Hillary, maxing out the other night.  This comes as absolutely no surprise to me. The man is an opportunist.  He is also up to his eyeballs when it comes to being part of the Koch Machine. He also hates Donald Trump to the point where, if Trump is the nominee, you will see FOX News go at him with both barrels.  There’s a very good reason for this.  Donald Trump is the anti-Romney and is the anti-Koch candidate.  You can start seeing the Romney ‘wing’ of the GOP starting to go after Trump with the beginnings of what is carpet-bombing.  Their  little darling is Marco Rubio.

There is a very good reason they want Rubio.  He is pliable.  The only thing he has ever accomplished in his do-nothing life is stab his mentor, Jeb Bush, in the back.  If had not been for Jeb Bush, Rubio would be a two-bit, failed ambulance chaser in Dade County. He was on Romney’s short-list to be VP.  That says quite a bit.  He is everything the Koch Machine wants – a nothing person who can be bought like a cheap whore.  (No insult intended to hard-working whores.)

It is fascinating to watch as the Koch Machine/Romney GOP punditry is now floating the name of Susana Martinez as a possible VP pick for Trump.  That makes a lot of sense.  Martinez is the model of a Koch Machine governor.  By applying all of their rules for success, she has turned New Mexico into the worst economy in the country.  Things are so bad in ABQ that, last week, when the Cheesecake Factory announced they were going to be filling 290 positions, over 10,000 people applied.  Using the ideals of the Koch Machine, New Mexico is now at the bottom of all the good lists and the top of all the bad ones.

Conservatives like Erick Erickson have vowed to stay home if Trump is the nominee.  Frankly, I can think of no better endorsement for the man.  I find it rather fascinating that the prognosticators of GOP Doom & Gloom are the same ones who brought us Mitt Romney.  What is even more fascinating is the same bunch are the ones who were either dead set against Ronald Reagan, or turned on him after he had been office all of a month.  They have a heck of a lot to lose.  If Trump is nominated, and he wins, they are toast.

Another interesting little tidbit is, contrary to popular opinion, Trump backers are not the Tea Party.  The Tea Party was created by and for the Koch Machine.  A heck of a lot of their support is going to Bernie Sanders.  The very people who are threatening to not to vote if Trump is the nominee are the ones who have ruined the GOP.

I don’t know about you, but I love politics!

  1. I agree with you. I love politics. The media has been very good to Donald Trump, but once he has the GOP nomination, they will turn on him and do everything they can to get Hillary elected.
