We now live in a world of safe spaces, micro-agressions, hurt feelings, and the inability to process things which might be disagreeable. It is a world now populated by physically mature (notice I did not say grown-up) individuals who came of age during the era of everyone getting a trophy for just showing up, and getting a happy face sticker instead of being flunked. They have been brainwashed with the theory that women are suffering from abuse, constantly.
If a man even looks at a woman the wrong way, without some great big scary clown smile, he is abusing her. Having been on the receiving end of sexual harassment more than once, and one time even turning down a dream job because of what was implied to go along with it I know the difference between hurt feelings and reality.
During Sunday’s debate between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton, I tweeted that Dems are going to go after him for micro-agressions. he paced. He was all over the stage. I don’t know his body language, so it was hard to judge. He’s not exactly a subtle person, more like a buffalo in a museum of antique glass. He is like that scene in Moonraker, where James Bond basically destroys a glass museum, fighting with the bad guy.
I don’t like Hillary Clinton. Fact is, I think she needs to be in jail. Martha Stewart went to prison for less. But, I am furious with her little liberal supporters who constant try to present her as some poor abused women, suffering from Big Bad Donald’s intimidation.
This is the big leagues. She is running for the most powerful job in history. She is probably the most powerful woman in history – thus far. For her supporters to have fits because as a woman, she was being harassed by the evil man is insulting. It proves how little they understand her, and how little respect they have, not only for her, but themselves. She can take care of herself.
Are her supporters going to get their panties in a wad when she confronts North Korea, Russia, or even Germany and she is not greeted with happy, clappy smiles? This is the big bad world. She is an equal to Trump, Putin, Merkel, May, and so forth and so on. You don’t hear their supporters crying about micro-aggressions.
Like I said, I can’t stand her, but I won’t allow her to be denigrated as some poor, fragile, flower of a woman. If I were in her place, I’d be furious. After working and manipulating like Lady MacBeth, to reach her position in life, to have her supporters upset because of the big bad man is disgusting and insulting to her. It denigrates her as a leader. She has a 50% chance of being POTUS in a few weeks. Don’t weaken her, or our position in the world by thinking she is some frail little snow-flake who needs a safe space. There is very few reasons I will defend this woman. This is one of those reasons.
