The Planned Parenthood – John Tanton Anti Immigration Connection

NOTE:  I will be traveling for the week.  Presented for your discussion are a series of articles I have written, over the years, dealing with Planned Parenthood. This article was first published on July 19, 2009.

Conservatives are all atwitter over the role of eugenics in the Obama Administration.

“…Eugenics was the foundation of Nazi Germany‘s drive toward the “perfect race” which was achievable only by encouraging “good” Germans to procreate and eliminating “Lebensunwertes Leben” – life unworthy of life. The founder of Planned Parenthood, Margaret Sanger, was a leader of the American eugenics movement in the mid-20th century, advocating the use of sterilization, abortion and birth control to “stop bringing to birth children whose inheritance cannot be one of health or intelligence.”

Eugenics has a toehold in America despite being publicly discredited after the Holocaust. One of every two black babies is aborted. Black women make up 13% percent of the female population but underwent over 36% of all abortions. Eighty percent of aborturaries are located in minority neighborhoods. 16 million black babies and counting have been murdered since Roe vs. Wade. I can recite these statistics by heart, and that to me is heartbreaking. Black pro-life advocates call abortion “black genocide” and what is maddening is our willing participation in our own destruction. Ms. Sanger’s “Negro Project” is working:…”

They are doing a hail-Mary end-run around a horrible story, while ignoring one of the worst offenders – John Tanton.

The abortion world is in a bit of a snit right now because Ruth Bader Ginsburg came out and admitted that Roe v. Wade is all about population control and eugenics. Michelle Malkin is rather taken with the story and details the life of Margaret Sanger.  I just love this.  Malkin links to a piece by John Holdren, who is Obama’s Science Czar (unauthorized appointment sucking up money) said that forced abortions and mass sterilization is needed to save the planet.   I agree with Malkin here.  This guy is terrifying.

“...Indeed, it has been concluded that compulsory population-control laws, even including laws requiring compulsory abortion, could be sustained under the existing Constitution if the population crisis became sufficiently severe to endanger the society….Toward a Planetary Regime

Perhaps those agencies, combined with UNEP and the United Nations population agencies, might eventually be developed into a Planetary Regime—sort of an international superagency for population, resources, and environment. Such a comprehensive Planetary Regime could control the development, administration, conservation, and distribution of all natural resources, renewable or nonrenewable, at least insofar as international implications exist. Thus the Regime could have the power to control pollution not only in the atmosphere and oceans, but also in such freshwater bodies as rivers and lakes that cross international boundaries or that discharge into the oceans. The Regime might also be a logical central agency for regulating all international trade, perhaps including assistance from DCs to LDCs, and including all food on the international market.

The Planetary Regime might be given responsibility for determining the optimum population for the world and for each region and for arbitrating various countries’ shares within their regional limits. Control of population size might remain the responsibility of each government, but the Regime would have some power to enforce the agreed limits.”…”

Kathryn Jean Lopez has an excellent commentary in NRO about the history of Planned Parenthood.

“…We want fewer and better children . . . and we cannot make the social life and the world-peace we are determined to make, with the ill-bred, ill-trained swarms of inferior citizens that you inflict on us.”

That ghastly message appeared in the introduction to Margaret Sanger’s 1922 book, The Pivot of Civilization….According to its just-released annual report for 2007–2008, the Planned Parenthood Federation of America was responsible for conducting 305,310 abortions in the United States in 2007, an increase from 289,750 the previous year. Consider that the next time an abortion advocate tells you women are being kept from getting abortions in America. That increase in abortions provided by PPFA coincided with an increase in government funding, from $337 million to $350 million”…”

BUT BUT BUT – I find the most fascinating part of all of this is the fact that Lopez is one of the most hard-line anti-immigration conservatives around, buying anything the John Tanton organizations spoon feed to her.  Lopez, a staunch supporter of immigration reform, ignores the following, written by Linda Chavez:

“…Dr. John Tanton, who was the brainchild behind many of the most prominent restrictionist groups, including the Federation for American Immigration Reform, the Center for Immigration Studies and Numbers USA, is a past president of Zero Population Growth. These groups often cite demographer Leon Bouvier’s work to support their arguments. “To begin with,” [Bouvier and Grant, co-authors of the book “How Many Americans?: Population, Immigration and the Environment”] say, “it would be pointless to assume that American women will altruistically decide to have but one child for the good of the society.” So they favor government policies that will achieve that end. “All proposed legislation, regardless of specific intent, should be evaluated as to its possible impact on fertility,” they argue. And, of course, they support additional government-funded research for more effective contraceptives and better access to abortion….”

As The Pink Flamingo has repeatedly stated, John Tanton, who is the puppetmaster of the entire anti-immigration movement, is one of the leading lights with Planned Parenthood.

“…In 1988 Walter Cronkite and Linda Chavez resigned their leadership positions in the organization, U.S. English, after it became known that the founder of U.S. English, John Tanton, had written a memorandum, distributed at a 1986 immigration conference of the Federation of Americans for Immigration Reform. The memorandum posed a series of questions and depicted an America possibly doomed to conflict between a minority of educated well-off English-speaking people and a majority of uneducated poor people of other ethnic and racial groups with faster population growth. Tanton wrote that “those with their pants up are going to get caught by those with their pants down,” and that since many of the immigrants will be Catholic, this influx of Catholics could reduce the separation between church and state….

  1. You should get the documentary Maafa21, just released and see one of Tanton’s associates: Joyce Tarnow ( Former Florida Abortion Clinic Owner) who now heads the group: Floridians for a Sustainable Population. Tarnow is on the Board of Directors at FAIR and in the movie: Maafa21, which exposes the racist roots and the current racist agenda of abortion, Tarnow says we should not help Haiti or any nation that does not have resources. Maafa21 ties slavery, eugenics, and abortion and connects the dots between all the racist groups including high level attempts by the US Gov’t to hush African American leaders who saw the dangers of abortion and called it “Black Genocide”. FAIR Board members are loaded with Zero Population Growth people an org formed by Holdren’s teacher and associate: Paul Ehrlich. In Maafa21, there is a stunning Ehrlich quote as well and the eugenic agenda of putting Birth Control Agents in the water is very well documented by the producers of Maafa21. This is a MUST SEE film – get a peak of some of the racist quotes that Maafa21 uncovers here:
