Sunday Morning Opera: Pavarotti

Share

October is a month for operatic birthdays and celebrations.  On October 12, the great Luciano Pavarotti would be eighty-two.  It was a life cut short, as are many operatic lives, by cancer.  We all know he was one of the greatest tenors – ever.

What is your favorite?  I saw him several times, in the Met’s incredible Tosca, Luisa Miller, and in what I think was his best role –  L’elisir d’amore.

Unfortunately, this is one of those posts where I end up stopping to listen and I have so many things to do.
