We live in a world where those in power have no problem destroying those who are innocent. When power is abused, and the abusers are not held accountable, how can we possibly expect a young person who is terribly disturbed not to realize he/she cannot emulate that behavior?
I detest Judge Roy Moore, but maybe he had a point during his Ten Commandments battles. It really does have nothing to do with religion and everything to do with a code of ethical behavior that is as old as civilized humanity. Let’s not even call it morality. A code of behavior that includes not killing, stealing, and destroying others has been the hallmark of the civilized world since the beginning of the civilized world.
Why are ethics no longer needed?
Is there a reason?
I know what I think.
