Evil People

Guns don’t kill people.
Cars don’t kill people.
Knives don’t kill people.
Bombs don’t kill people.

People kill people.

There are times when it is an accident.
Then, there are times when it is deliberate.

The problem is, there are people who are just plain evil. They don’t care who they destroy. There are degrees of evil, and levels of evil people do. When a person takes a life out of a moment of insane passion, that’s one thing. It is another when someone is forced to take a life in self-defense. But, when a life is taken, deliberately, it is considered first degree murder. There are even versions of that.

Where does Cruz fit in all of this?

When a person is evil, and a psychopath, nothing is going to stop him/her from killing. It is wrong for society for people to blame something like a gun, a knife, or a bomb for the actions of an evil person. Cruz did the killing. A gun was his tool. It is quite strange how people seem to think that taking away the gun would prevent this monster from doing what he did.

In this country, in 2016 there were 37,000 motor vehicle related fatalities in the US.  Do you hear any demands for cars to be banned?

Including suicide, 33,000 people were killed in the US by firearms in 2016, according to the Gun Violence Archive.  Of that number, a horrifying 21,000 were suicides.

In other words, excluding suicides, something like 24,000 more people were killed by cars than guns, yet no one demands cars be banned.
