The Supremes have, in a 7 to 2 ruling, said a Christian baker cannot be forced to bake a cake for a gay couple, and harassed over his religious values. That’s a good thing, upholding religious rights. It can also be a bad thing, for the ruling is not limited to Christian. But, this day and age, apparently, only Christians are persecuted for what we believe.
I have such a problem with someone who claims to be a Christian who refuses to offer services to someone on the basis of gender and sexual identification. How the hell can you say you are a Christian if you refuse to bake a wedding cake for someone who is LGBT?
It’s a Jesus thing. The law says you must render service. Not only is a Christian to carry the Roman soldier’s pack a mile, but then offer to carry it for another mile. What worked during the life of Jesus of Nazareth, should work for his followers – today.
It’s a Christ thing.
If I were a Christian, I swear I would be ashamed to take a case to the Supreme Court because I refused to follow the teachings of Christ and not carry that Roman soldier’s pack.
Like I said, it’s a Christ thing.
