I am going to hate myself for saying this, but…..

The Pink Flamingo has always come down on the side of the pro-salt faction. It is a vital part of life. Then I acquired a Mater who has a serious heart condition. More than 500 milligrams of sodium or salt can put her into congestive heart failure.

We argued with her, telling her she was off the mark on it, then I saw the results for myself. Until she began strictly regulating her intake of salt and sodium she was hitting the ER for the early stages of conjestive heart failure on an almost monthly basis.

And – trust me, she was “watching it” – carefully.
