PART II: Tea, Parties, The Constitution, and That Pesky Thing Called Freedom
The other night, The Pink Flamingo was watching one of the great American classics, To Kill a Mockingbird. For those ignorant wretches who have not seen the movie nor read the classic book, you have my pity. Atticus Finch (played by the late, great Gregory Peck) was the ultimate Southern attorney living in a small town. He understood that all men and women are equal, no matter what their color, nor their what was in their pocketbook.
When the haters could not crush Atticus Finch for going against their demands by defending a Black man innocent of the rape charges filed against him by a white trash woman, they tried to kill his children. There’s not much difference between the man who tried to kill the children of Atticus Finch and the tea party “patriots” who try killing the reputations and careers of good and honorable men and women who absolutely refuse to bend to their will.

Losertarians are crowing about the nomination of Nikki Haley in South Carolina. She is one of them. They love her. Makes sense. Then there is the idiocy in Idaho, where the Losertarians have taken over the GOP. They’re scary, demanding a repeal of the 17th Amendment.

One thing you gotta love about liberals is their way to out-manouver the right every time. During a long weekend when we need to be going after Obama, they decided to offer up Lindsey for the far right to crucify with their usual far right class. Few conservatives have the courage to admit that Lindsey is right. But then again, the whole idea is to spend the weekend beating up on Lindsey Graham rather than Barack Obama.

When Princess Leia remarked that Han Solo “certainly was brave”, Luke wanted to know what good it would do if he got himself killed. When it comes to bravery, Lindsey is brave – because he knows how to be a statesman. In the age of the Tea Party “patriots” who are basically little more than losertarian shills for the likes of the Pauls, and a few other losertarians, anyone who dares step out of line.
