Two Bucks a Pop!

Last Christmas The Pink Flamingo’s sister presented me with an Aerogrow. I’ve piddled around with lettuce, herbs, tomatoes, and now string beans. I just checked and I have 7 (count ’em) SEVEN string beans! It costs about $14 for a seed kit, for a grand total of two bucks a bean!

FYI – the cats love the lettuce!

If The Pink Flamingo has been a little flaky with posting these past three weeks, there is a reason. I just returned from 7 fabulous days in Tombstone. On Thursday we watched a bus load of tea party idiots from Texas roam the streets of Tombstone. They were showing solidarity with Arizona. If they really cared, they would have spent money, which they did not. Business is way off in Tombstone. There are several reasons: the economy, current mayor, and the boycott of Arizona.

The Mean Kitty Song

Share

Either I have nothing else to do with my time, or we all need a break. If this did not remind me of my mother’s cat Hondo Kitty, I would probably not bother doing a post on it. But – it is sooooo Hondo. Now that he has matured Hondo no longer shreds (he has no claws – they were removed for defensive purposes) so he just sprays!

Four Years of Blogging

ThePinkFlamingoLogo

The Pink Flamingo went on line at the old site on October 4, 2005. There is no way I will even copy the first post it was so pathetic, not that it isn’t still pathetic. During those four years the world has changed.

When The Pink Flamingo began blogging my main promise was to support the Republican Party and be as honest as I possibly could. This has not changed. Conservatives have changed. There is a tendency online for conservatives to be more irrational and more extreme. I’ve seen that Libertarian Party infusion I’ve been fearing step in and attempt to hijack the party. Thanks to those same Losertarians good, decent Republicans are now damning George W. Bush and worshiping a seriously disturbed Libertarian demigod who knows when to turn on the tears.

Today I am far more pessimistic than I was four years ago. This pessimisim is not about Barack Obama, who is on the way to becoming comic relief. The pessimism I see is the constant attack on good Republicans by Libertarians who have no shame, no honor, and no decency. Lying about their conservative leanings, these anti-war, conspiracy believing, nuts are marching lock-step with their fearless leaders like Ron Paul and a few others, taking our country over a cliff.

National Geographic’s Hit on George Washington

Share

Did you happen to catch the disgusting hit piece National Geographic did on George Washington? It was vile, full of mis-information, and basically accuses him of being politically incorrect. I gather the new rule of thumb is that, in order or the messiah elect to increase, all other great Americans must be marginalized and lied about. Okay, I get it.
