Harry Teague’s Troubles Continue
NM political guru Heath Haussaman thinks that the reports of Harry Teague’s pending political demise are greatly exaggerated. (I hope he is wrong!)
“...Despite all of that, I don’t count Teague out. He has a realistic shot at winning re-election. It’s my view that the race leans toward Teague’s GOP challenger, former U.S. Rep. Steve Pearce, but only slightly.
What the Tea Party Really Believes?
The Pink Flamingo is terrified of extremes. I see the growing extremism and irrational behavior of the tea parties as just that. It did not start out this way, but it is getting there. The very real problem is the fact that the people involved in the tea parties are failing to weigh the biased information they are receiving from their tin-plated gods like Glenn Beck.
If something is not done to put some of these people in check, and explain the facts of life to them, via American history, we are in for a very terrifying ride, abjectly terrifying. How long will it be before some idiotic tea party twit who is seriously unstable does something like what happened in India over the weekend?
Another Wednesday Hero- Steve Pearce
The following comes from an email. It was one of those “my gosh” moments. I’ve always been impressed with Steve Pearce, but this is incredible!
I know several “decorated” heroes from different branches of service; Army Rangers, 5th Special Forces, SOG groups, 82nd Airborne, Navy SEALS and the like. I’m not sure just how many I know – but it’s a bunch. It is not very often that you are asked by a fellow Veteran to review his military record and make a comment or two. My friend, and former Congressman Steve Pearce, a candidate for the 2010 U.S. House of Representatives, District 2, from New Mexico – asked me to do just that; in part because we were stationed at the same base in Vietnam “…back when…” and in part, because he wanted a second set of eyes to set the record straight about a subject he keeps to himself – the way most heroes do.
GOP Leadership Factor NM v. SC
If web sites say anything, take a look at the SCGOP site Karen Floyd is using and the NM site Harvey Yates uses.
Why won’t Nikki Haley take Andre Bauer up on his offer of a lie-detector test? If I were in her position I would do it and grand-stand all the way – if I were innocent.
Evidently SC’s GOP Chair Karen Floyd is MIA. Either that or she is, as The Pink Flamingo has stated numerous times, totally and completely incompetent. Right now some of the nastiest stuff I’ve seen in a long time is going down in SC and she is not stepping in to stop it. We are seeing what is basically a civil war between Nikki Haley and Andre Bauer. One of them is telling the truth and one of them isn’t. Bauer has offered to take a lie detector test. Haley continues to blame him for all of her problems.
Steve Pearce Memorial Day Message
The New Mexico primaries are tomorrow. The Pink Flamingo thinks this is a great time for a final plug for Steve Pearce.
“…I wanted to take this opportunity as we to reflect on what we are actually celebrating on Memorial Day. It is truly a great time to reflect and recognize not only the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice to protect and defend our country in the past, but also a time to remember that we still have many young Americans in harms way around the world.
We honor those who have given what Lincoln called “that last full measure of devotion” to protect our nation.
As someone who has had the honor of serving our country, I know firsthand the dangers our brave servicemen and servicewomen have faced in defending our freedom around the world. Sometimes, people take for granted the great freedoms we enjoy but we must never forget those brave patriots who made the ultimate sacrifice on behalf of our country. We also must remember to honor our commitments to the Veterans who have come home yet still need our help. Remember them also.

UPDATED: Republican Voting Records and Tea Party Lies!
Funny thing about the alleged “Tea Party Movement”, promoted and nurtured by FOX News, it is not Republican. We’re being told by Sean Hannity that it is all about a re-vitalized conservative movement. People like Jim DeMint and Ron Paul are heralded as “pure” while men like Lindsey Graham, John McCain, Bob Inglis, and Mitch McConnell are treated like dirt by conservatives as “impure”.
Well, until March and the latest ACU ratings, this is the best we can do. And – it looks like Lindsey Graham, John McCain and Bob Inglis, denigrated as “impure” may actually be “purer” conservatives than Jim DeMint and Ron Paul.
Go figure.
The WPost has their voting record database for the 111th Congress compiled. There are a few surprises.
“…The Post’s voting database showed that Graham voted with Republicans 91 percent of the time while the state’s junior senator stood with his party 87 percent of the time.
So Much for Representation
South Carolina’s Junior Senator, Jim DeMint prides himself on representing the conservative voice for all Americans over those of his …Read the Rest
The Trouble With Harry – How Will He Vote?
Golly gee, Harry Teague is scared!
He is planning to vote against ObamaCare, allegedly, but for Cap/Trade.
“…Pearce campaign spokesman Paul Ciaramitaro stated, “The economically-catastrophic cap & trade program that Harry Teague eagerly supported in June is now one step closer to reality. It is bad enough that Teague stayed loyal to his Democrat party leaders like Nancy Pelosi and helped pass a bill at the behest of radical environmentalists. But it is completely unacceptable that Teague voted for a new program that will kill jobs in Southern New Mexico and raise taxes and utility rates on struggling families in Las Cruces and throughout his district. Harry Teague voted entirely against the interest of his constituents. Thanks to him and today’s action in the Senate, New Mexicans are now one step closer to higher taxes and fewer jobs.”…”
Yep, he’s scared.
He should be. His behavior is deplorable and a perfect example of why we need an honorable Republican like Steve Pearce on the job instead of TwoStepping Teague.
He was for ObamaCare, now he is against it – or so he says. Problem is, Harry Teague has a problem with integrity. He tells you he is going to vote against one thing, then turns around and votes for it. So, Harry Teague SAYS he is going to vote against ObamaCare. Problem is, you cannot trust Harry Teague to keep his word – on much of anything. Teague sends out a press release telling why he is NOT going to vote for the bill, then I find this little tidbit.
“…Still on the fence: Reps. Tom Perriello, D-Va., John Boccieri, D-Ohio, Ann Kirkpatrick, D-Ariz., Betsy Markey, D-Colo., and Harry Teague, D-N.M….”
If a vote is done quietly, Teague votes with Princess Pelosi.
Harry Teague is a marked man. Not only is he considered one of the most vulnerable Democrats on the Hill, but evidently he has a few financial difficulties.
“…In the House, Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) placed first, with an average wealth of $251 million – top among all members of Congress. Following Issa are Reps. Jane Harman (D-Calif.) and Jared Polis (D-Colo.). Twenty-three House members recorded average wealth in negative territory, with Alcee Hastings (D-Fla.) and Harry Teague (D-N.M.) scraping the bottom.
