Theme Problems Continue
The Pink Flamingo is having an ongoing problem with themes, colors, and this latest update from Wordpress behaving differently in Safari, Explorer and in Firefox. I use Firefox for working with the blog – and the constraints I place in Firefox are not working in the other two platforms. I have noticed if you use either Safari or Explorer many of the background colors come out white. I keep trying to fix it – but am having very little success.
One of the problems is the consistency of browser platforms. My theme worked perfect in FireFox, but nothing else. Until I can come up with a rational solution to the problems associated with my old theme, I am going to be using this one. I don’t like it, but right now I have no other solution.
Political Lemonade
Crossing fingers and saying prayers for Scott Brown. If he can pull it off, and it is looking better than ever, it will be because of MODERATE INDEPENDENTS. Conservatives are working like crazy for him, but there are some third party Losertarians who are holding strong with their conscience.
Please, pass the cool, tart, slightly sweet, perfect political lemonade. Enjoy every drop of it.

Full Circle – It’s a God Thing
The following is an excerpt (I hope) from a book I am writing.
A decade ago one, on January 14, 2000, I experienced one of the worst moments of my life. Not only did the person I planned to marry do everything he could to hurt me, in the process he destroyed my sense of well-being and who I am.
January is a rough month. It seems to me that bad things just plain old happen in January. Wyatt Earp died in January – 1929. The space shuttle Challenger exploded in January – 1986. The Apollo 1 fire killed 3 astronauts – 1967. The space shuttle Columbia broke up in re-entry (okay it was February 1) – 2003. The worst baseball trades happen in January. It is cold. You have all those bills to pay. And life is generally miserable.
January, 2000 brought one of the worst experiences of my life. It also brought one of the most remarkable and spiritually awakening moments of my life. I learned the power of praise when the big things in life are bad.

The other day, in a town hall meeting, Lindsey discussed the fact that civility in Washington is endangered and that it is spilling out into the nation.
The Pink Flamingo thinks the extremes of both parties, the far right and the far left are to blame. Certainly the Ron Paul Bots are some of the worst offenders of the lot. Michael Medved, in the opening moments of his Monday’s radio show brought up a very salient point. We DO NOT want Harry Reid to resign. We want him right where he is, running for re-election. We want Harry Reid as one of the faces of the Democrats.

The Conservative Double Standard: Lindsey Graham & Sarah Palin
The Pink Flamingo wants to make a prediction. In six months, Sarah Palin, the darling of the Tea Party “patriots” will be the far right’s public enemy #2, right up there with Lindsey.
Why?
She is showing her true – VERY RED – colors!
Sarah Palin is making money off the whole thing. She is not doing this for charity. And – now that the idiots are realizing that they must pay speakers, the you know what that drops out of the rear of Alaskan carribou is about ready to hit the fan.

The Pink Flamingo has been right about Sarah Palin all along (thank heavens) and she is not a far right fringe third party idiot. She is a Republican. Praise the Lord!
SC Ron Paul Bots After Lindsey Again
The Pink Flamingo is beginning to wonder just how many Republicans are willing to stand up to the Ron Paul Bots and have the courage to PURGE them from grass-roots GOP leadership positions through out the country. My sources tell me in Oklahoma the purge is on. Evidently in South Carolina, only Lindsey had the courage to stand up to these nut-jobs, and now they are taking their revenge. The real crime – with only a few exceptions, The Palmetto Scoop, CNN and The Pink Flamingo NO ONE is reporting what actually happened at the meeting. The far right is so far gone in their hatred of Lindsey that they would rather lie about what happened.
On Monday night the Lexington County GOP voted 13-7 to censure Lindsey. The Ron Paul Bot who engineered the illegal procedure, Talbert Black is NOT a Republican. Black, a Ron Paul Bot nutcase is the idiot who promoted the illegal procedure.
“…Talbert Black, of Lexington, believes Graham has tried to marginalize him and others, noting a comment the senator made in October that the GOP does not want to limit itself as a party of angry white men. “When you have somebody so willing to compromise with those who aren’t conservative, and belittles those who are conservative, we need to do something about that,” said Black, the state coordinator of Campaign for Liberty, a group dedicated to personal liberty and fiscal conservatism that spawned after Paul’s 2008 presidential campaign. There is a war brewing in the GOP, caused not by Republicans and not by actual conservatives, but by the slobbering minions who follow Ron Paul and his freaky message of appeasement, conspiracy theories, and outright hate.
The very real problem is the fact that very few of those who are part of the Far Right and are not Ron Paul Bots have the courage to stand up against the fake conservative onslaught of their attack. Add that with the fact that there are very few Republicans who have the actual courage to stand up against them and we have what could be a serious crises.
BREAKING: Is There New Link in the Al Qaeda Plot Against Hillary?
Would someone please explain to The Pink Flamingo just why the State Department, White House, and the MSM are neither confirming or denying the fact that al Qaeda attempted to kill Hillary Clinton while she was in Kenya in August.
Why?
It doesn’t take rocket science to figure out that the Dems, esp. the Obama Administration and their MSM flunkies do not seem to react all that favorably toward women who may be in power some day. In fact, when one considers how Hillary Clinton has been treated as Secretary of State (the now invisible cabinet post) compared to Condi Rice, something just isn’t kosher here. Look at how Sarah Palin has been treated.

Rick Moran has an interesting take. I’m not sure which way to go on this, but I don’t know if incompetence is the whole thing.
Are we dealing with incompetence, complacency, stupidity, or a group of people who are so pathetic in their hatred of all things George W. Bush that they would rather allow Americans to lose their lives than admit he was right?

The Smell Test: Part III – Fighting Man Made Disasters
The Pink Flamingo has repeatedly this week stated that something about this attempted man made disaster just doesn’t pass the smell test. First, we learn that the CIA has been tracking our little bomber for months. Then we learn that a smartly dressed Pakistani helped Umar Farouk Abdul Mutallab on to the plane. This is about an Administration who is incapable of connecting the dots on Terror.
There is one question The Pink Flamingo wants to ask. Is it possible Umar Farouk Abdul Mutallab had help getting on those planes. I’m not talking “little help” but someone in a position of a little bit of power who let this guy get through check-points? Right now the Obama Administration is looking like a bunch of Keystone Cops. There goes that Smell Test.
Who let this kid slip through dogs, scans, check-lists, etc with a bomb?
Do you really think an alienated, depressed, possibly suicidal young man could slip through security without some “inside” assistance?
While we are are asking questions, perhaps it is time to suspend the religious rhetoric and get back to some basics. Look at the guy’s profile:

Umm….where have we seen these characteristics before? Want to be a little bit honest here? Like The Pink Flamingo says, dump the religious angle. We’re dealing with the same personality profile as two young men who destroyed a school in Colorado. It is the same profile of a young man who goes on a rampage on a college campus in Virginia.
The only difference – this time the father tried to warn authorities that his son was up to no good.
What if we are dealing with some truly evil master minds who are manipulating disturbed, obsessed, depressed, alienated, and possibly suicidal young men into doing something for their “religion”?
Which is more frightening?
We think the implications of Islamic terror are horrifying, but what if there are much greater implications – an entire generation of young men, the world over, who have the same profile, irregardless of religion?

On Christmas Day, Barack Obama was not notified of a terror attempt for three hours. In an attempt to prove that he could react when necessary, he brought the state of Hawaii to a hault in order to get back to the estate where he is vacatining. Earlier on Monday, Barack Obama, in what was an obvious attempt to avoid a potential lawsuit, fled his golf game (he has played more in one year than GWB did in 8 years) to check on some little kid who managed to get hurt while obviously playing with his kids. One wonders just how much money this emergency motorcade cost the be-leaguered American taxpayer, but then it is rather obvious that America’s very own POTUS version of Barney Fife doesn’t give a damn about the taxpayer.

The Trouble with Harry Teague (Acid Reflux Edition)
The Pink Flamingo thinks one of the burning questions of the millenia should be as follows: Why would a man who is worth (allegedly) forty million bucks spend over $40,000 of the tax-payer’s money on travel for just one season – summer? I guess he was fighting those dastardly teapartiers?
