Yesterday’s surgery that was scheduled for noon, was moved up to eleven, but did not happen until around 1:30!
The break as a little worse than expected, took a little longer to fix than was expected, and the fantastic treatment my mother received at Memorial in Las Cruces was entirely unexpected.
I’ve never seen her in so much pain. If I could get her to anticipate when the meds would wear off we’d be in much better shape.
The orth surgeon consulted with her cardiologist – several times. They were constantly monitoring her condition – which pleased me.
We arrived back at the hotel around six thirty or so. I did a run to Outback. She ate more soup than I expected she would and then a little cup of chocolate Hagan Daz. Naturally she is miserable and really can’t get comfortable.
I can’t get over the way Rumsfeld is sticking with her, almost like he thinks it is his duty to play nursie poodle. Who knew he had that ability in him?
I know one thing – these male nurses who come out of a military background and have seen combat as medics are absolutely incredible!
