The Right Stuff v. The Wrong Stuff

Under NASA’s very close direction, every manned U.S. spacecraft has been built by commercial companies. In fact, 83% of NASA’s budget goes to commercial entities. Depending on commercial companies is not new. That process has included strong NASA control, oversight and safety concerns. It is a procedure developed over many years and with great care. It has worked well. Change should be made with utmost caution and only if it brings some major advantage.

What is new is placing 100% confidence in smaller, less experienced companies if the Shuttles are retired, with no backup, for extremely complex missions. I am glad to see multi-company interest in commercial space development, but at this early stage of their experience they should be phased in only after they demonstrate a high degree of competency and reliability, particularly with regard to safety concerns.” …” John Glenn

BREAKING: Neil Armstrong Slams Obama in Letter

The Pink Flamingo thinks Barack Obama is a fool. Only a fool would squander our future. Idiot is revamping the Orion capsule. By revamping the capsule he is basically not only killing our return to the moon but going to Mars. Would someone please tell The Pink Flamingo what planet this freak lives on?

What the he-double-toothpick is wrong with him?

Why the heck doesn’t the freak take the money they are using on that idiotic railroad to nowhere in Florida and put it into space exploration?

From Americas Space:

“…The White House Office of Science and Technology Policy has released a statement outlining the “new”, call it “new” v 2.0, NASA plan. It replaces the one that was announced on February 1st and has seen so few supporters that you could fit them all in a phone booth.

The Wrong Stuff – Will Obama Scrap Astronaut Program?

Anyone in their right mind knew when Obama was elected, NASA was in for some rough times. It is worse – our worst nightmare.

“…I can guarantee you that there will be debate as to whether NASA needs to have astronauts,” he said. “I can just see it coming in the United States, you know. I wish it were not going to come up, but it will come up: ‘You don’t have a space shuttle, you’re not flying a vehicle, so why do you need astronauts?’ I get asked those kinds of questions all the time.”…” Chuck Bolden.

We could be looking at the beginning of the end of America’s space efforts and human space flight – America style. Of all the vile and reprehensible things the Obama Administration has proposed, this is the worst. If anything proves the man does not give a damn about our future, this does.
