Life is tacky. Deal with it!

From July 4, 2012. Today is the All Star Game. It is terribly important to understand the link between baseball and our history. Today,
On September 28, 1941 Ted Williams made history. Always a man of courage, he could have sat out the game, and had a secure

The Pink Flamingo wants to give Martha Coakley a break on this one because not everyone is a baseball fan. Thus said, when you are the AG of a state, running for senate from a state where the Boston Red Sox are a legend, how dumb can you possibly be?
Sorry, but no one can be this stupid…not really.

In New England two things are sacred. You DO NOT diss those two sacred entities and expect to remain in office for very long. You can trash the USA. You can say something nasty about religion – just pick a religion. Misc. elected officials can be insulted, they are fair game. Same thing holds true with the Kennedys. Insult ’em, it’s okay.
Coakley can insult Catholics, our troops, and be a total idiot when it comes to national security. She can (sort of) get away with it – while proving she is a total idiot.
BUT – when you diss the Boston Red Sox and their cathedral, Fenway Park, the sin is unpardonable. The only thing she could do that would be worse is insult the memory of Ted Williams.
(Disclaimer: The Pink Flamingo is a National League fan, primarily pulling for the Braves. When pulling for the AL, I support the Red Sox).
(AJ Strata thinks she has managed to sink her campaign).
Or as the guys at HillBuzz put it:
“...Martha Coakley’s practically taken photos of Fenway Park, ripped them up into confetti, thrown them in the air, then had dogs urinate on them. Her attitude is deplorable. It really does appear her true nature is coming out in this campaign: she infuriated us by having one of her goons push a reporter to the ground the other day, and now she’s denigrating the kind of old school campaigning we want to see politicians engage in: going out to meet the voters at places like Fenway Park, which Scott Brown is out there doing…”
By insulting baseball fans and Fenway Park, Coakley has insulted baseball, hotdogs, apple pie, and Ted Williams. Even more importantly – she has proven that she does not even begin to comprehend this nation. She does not understand…
“...The one constant through all the years…has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It’s been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt, and erased again. But baseball has marked the time. This field, this game, is a part of our pas… It reminds us of all that once was good, and it could be again….”
That is the basic difference between Democrats and Republicans. We believe in something. We believe in America, hotdogs, apple pie, and baseball. We could even be the best looking political party!
Have you wondered if certain Democrats have a soul or actual morality? Want proof that they do not? First they went after Sarah Palin.
