The Ron Paul ego trip continues. In Iowa, his Bots managed to stage a small coup (the way they have done in SC, OK, UT, etc). Now they are promoting this idiot for POTUS.

In Kentucky, the latest polling puts Rand Paul ahead of Trey Grayson in the primary, but Grayson would defeat the Democrat candidates handily. Paul would barely squeek by if he were to win at all. Rand Paul is a sure fire way for the GOP to lose a Republican held Senate seat. The Pink Flamingo WOULD NOT vote for Rand Paul. I would not vote for the Dem, but I sure WOULD NOT vote for Rand Paul. Only 19% of people in KY see themselves as “Tea Party”. Let’s just hope Kentucky goes the way of Indiana and the Tea Party candidate gets squashed.

First things first. Is it possible some of the “war” between moderate and conservative Republicans be a mirror of the friendly battle between South Carolina Senators Lindsey Graham and Jim DeMint. There appears to be a major difference of opinion between the two men, with DeMint becoming something of a far right activist, and Lindsey taking a stand that is a proven winner, standing on Reagan’s political principles.
Conservatives with their irrational hate of Lindsey refuse to admit how he stands up for our military and the defense of our country.
The Pink Flamingo is highlighting what is apparently an attack of “hate” leveled against Lindsey Graham because he dared to behave like an adult. I am highlighting the coordinated attack against Lindsey to prove just how abjectly deranged and full of abject hate the far far far far far right has become. The fact is the far far far far far right’s attack on Lindsey is now so obvious, even liberals are picking up on it. It doesn’t matter how much they lie about what he is actually doing. During the Reagan years she was a lobbyist working with various non-profit organizations who were attempting to salvage NASA and the American space program after the disastrous Carter years. The Obama Administration appears to be repeating these same disastrous policies.
The Pink Flamingo went on line on October 4, 2005, after the author realized “normal” Republicans were being marginalized as the extreme far right attempts to become the new normal. There are very few actual Republicans who blog on a regular basis. The Pink Flamingo is one of these blogs.

THE PINK FLAMINGO STORY
It started out as a joke. During the seven years I worked with the girls of my parish, leading a youth group, one of the things that I stressed were manners. Part of having manners, the way I see it, is to know how to set a proper table, host a party, cater it, and clean up afterward. I was fortunate enough to have a group of very talented girls in my youth group. They learned how to plan for, and execute large church functions, very properly. During one such function I noticed there were several incredibly tacky pink flamingos sitting on the table. Knowing the girls were up to something, I said nothing. A few months later they did the same thing at a function I was hosting at my home. I said nothing. They had a birthday party for me. More pink flamingos appeared – and a joke was born.
Thanks to the girls, all of whom are now grown, I have a collection of pink flamingos. It has become an ongoing joke. When I began working on my political blog, I realized the only possibly title was The Pink Flamingo!
