Screen Shot 2014-04-28 at 9.11.35 PMIt looks like Cliven Bundy supporters have begun threatening Harry Reid.   What is rather fascinating is that Harry Reid has recently gone on record about his disgust of the Brother’s Koch.  Now, the Brother’s Koch are using the Useless Idiot, Cliven Bundy and his associates to threaten Harry Reid.  It’s like the tag line from Jaws….just when you think it’s safe to go into the water….. He’s baaacccckkkkk!

There is one very good thing about the whole Cliven Bundy Affair.  It is exposing to the world, what many of us have known for a very long time.  There is a nasty, almost evil, terrifying sub-culture of hate and guns here in the US.  Unfortunately, there are far more of them than even those of us following the story care to admit.  There are enough of these individuals, very well funded individuals, to begin a civil war in this country – if the Koch Brothers want them to do it.

“…And if Sean Hannity was charmed by Bundy’s white hat and homespun diction, he should have noticed that the private army of hard-eyed militiamen that coalesced around him espoused a lot of the same Posse Comitatus ideas that inspired Timothy McVeigh and his friends to blow up the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building. Bundy’s own refusal to recognize the federal government “as even existing” should have been a red flag—it hearkens back to the Fourteenth Amendment denialism that has been at the heart of white nationalist “Patriot” groups for decades….”

Unfortunately, these people have become mainstream, people like Milwaukee County Sheriff David A. Clarke Jr., are advocating violent revolution.

“…“If you’re going to stand with me, you have to be willing to resist any attempt by government to disarm law-abiding people by fighting with the ferociousness of a junkyard dog. For it says in the Declaration of Independence that it is our right, it is our duty, to throw off such government and to provide new guards for our future security.”…”

There is more:

“…In 2013, CSPOA recognized Clarke as sheriff of the year, a distinction Clarke said he was “both honored and humbled to receive.” After Milwaukee Journal Sentinel published an article scrutinizing the group behind the award, Clarke said that the paper disparaged CSPOA, “a group of honorable Sheriffs and officers who vow to uphold their oath of defending the U.S. Constitution,” and had published a “hit piece” on CSPOA leader Richard Mack. For his part, Mack has praised Clarke as “a modern-day hero.”

At the 2013 CSPOA convention, Clarke shared the stage with Stewart Rhodes, whose Oath Keepers organization the Southern Poverty Law Center describes as “a fiercely antigovernment, militaristic group.” Also in attendance was Larry Pratt, head of the far-right Gun Owners of America, Michael Peroutka, an active member of Neo-Confederate hate group League of the South, and Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s “chief birther” Mike Zullo.

In his remarks at the CSPOA convention, Clarke called those in attendance “the modern founders” and referenced revolutionary times, stating, “What’s happening today is what was happening then and a courageous group of grassroots individuals, that’s what they Founding Fathers were, they were grassroots people, [who] said enough and started to push back. And that’s what I started to do and that’s why I started to become more outspoken.” During his speech Clarke also labeled government “the common enemy” of the people.

CSPOA was most recently in the news because of Mack’s intervention in the dispute between Nevada cattle rancher Cliven Bundy and the Bureau of Land Management (BLM)….”

The Koch Brothers want a ‘peaceful’ revolution to take federal land away from the feds.  Once that is done, and it is given to the states, then the Kochs can step in and buy it.  You see, the Brother’s Koch are behind the whole mess.  They are using ALEC and Americans for Prosperity to promote their agenda.  They are using and manipulating some very scary people in order to keep bust-heads like Cliven Bundy and his supporters angry.

“...According to a reporter with Esquire, Bundy’s demand that sheriffs across America disarm and confiscate weapons from federal agents came from a revelation from god inspired by his close association with fellow Mormon and Oath Keeper Richard Mack. Bundy spoke to militia supporters after BLM officials released his cattle, and reprimanded them for disobeying the word of god that was delivered through him. Armed militias failed, for example, to follow his explicit instructions to tear down the toll booths at Lake Mead and disarm the Park Service. Bundy said, “The message I gave to you all was a revelation that I received. And yet not one of you can seem to even quote it. Here, something I delivered was inspired by God and yet we haven’t even carried it forth for even a couple of days.”…”

It happened in Nevada in 2013.

“...On June 04, 2013, Nevada Governor Brian Sandoval signed Assembly Bill 227 into law. AB227 — also called the Public Lands Transfer Act — is an innocuous-sounding piece of legislation that goes by a number of different names elsewhere, tweaked slightly to match existing local laws. In Utah, it’s known as the Transfer of Public Lands Act….The whole purpose of this act is to give the states carte blanche to carry out a land grab against the federal government. It’s just one of many ALEC-written pieces of so-called “model legislation” that serve a similar purpose: the Resolution Demanding that Congress Convey Title of Federal Public Lands to the States and the Eminent Domain Authority for Federal Lands Act all intend to strip or otherwise remove federal protection from land and hand that land over to the states. Several states already have laws like this in place….”

Cliven Bundy was the Koch Machine’s test case.  And – it backfired.  Instead, like Paul Krugman wrote, they look like High Plains Moochers, hopped up on the gospel of Ayn Rand.   Unfortunately, Tom DeLay has a different view.

“…“He doesn’t owe the federal government anything because he doesn’t recognize that the federal government can come take his livelihood away from him and he’s standing up for the rule of law, the real law, the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution, and fighting against what is happening to him,” DeLay said.

“The oppression and the tyranny that is coming from our government is just outrageous…. The federal government is building its weapons of oppression and tyranny as we speak.” DeLay also warned that the government may incite “violence” against “law-abiding American citizens to affect their tyranny.”

“This could get really out of hand, and I’m just really worried with the kind of attitude that this government has that they’re going to come back and do some real harm to the Bundy family and the others that are standing up for their rights,” he said….”

I truly hope this useless idiot will just go away.  Perhaps the bigger question, the greater observation is just what did Harry Reid actually do to bring the Wrath of Koch down upon his head?

And now there is a rumor that the militia folks down at Bunkerville are setting up roadblocks and demanding to see ID?
If true, then the problems just got a bit more serious than a bunch of scrawny cows.
